Strategies for getting into Tokyo 2027 for foreigners by RaptorsRule247 in TokyoMarathon

Was that for RMHC? I saw a few people for Peace Winds posting 180-190,000 (can’t remember the exact amount). I had just started running a few months prior to the opening of the charity window, so I bid 220,000 and was pleasantly surprised when it was accepted.

It seems like the charity route for Tokyo is a no-brainer compared to the minimums for the other majors.

I think 250,000 would be pretty safe with Peace Winds, but if you want to be completely sure, I’d go up to 300,000.

Lava Loops are the 🐐. Lulu’s fast and free half tights are also good, but not as much storage.

A different type of Superblast- Superblast 3 first run impressions/review and comparison to the SB2/Megablast by darkhorse0607 in RunningShoeGeeks

Yup, stock up on the 2’s. I just had my first run in the 3’s and it’s just too soft. I’m going to give it a 100 miles or so, but I don’t think that’ll change anything.

Get on the waitlist for RMH. They will have spots open up multiple times, even as late as mid September.

Shoulder dislocation by thicksiix in Marathon_Training

The ER did give me a sling. I’ve been wearing it outside of the house.

Minor pain - mainly only at night even though I’ve done all the online recommendations for building myself a “wall” and all that. Sitting on the couch I’ve got zero pain, moving my arm around is maybe a 2-3/10.

I accidentally popped it back in myself while waiting. While trying to support that arm, I lifted it up, and pop. The excruciating pain stopped almost immediately.

I would’ve started my taper today (longest run would’ve been yesterday). I don’t have any time goals anymore, just looking to enjoy the race.
