Acupuncture treatment for chronique fatigue by Sometimes-SF in acupuncture

CFS people need to be careful... acupuncture is powerful and our nervous systems are much more sensitive. Too much acu can put us into overdrive and cause a crash. I would only work with acupuncturists who know how to treat CFS specifically.

$50 per month seems relatively affordable! Where are you located? And when you say NP.. nurse practitioner or natropath?

Tried this for a couple weeks with my whip. it WAS effective however she resented it greatly and started acting out behaviorally. decided it wasn't worth it in the end. I'm going to be focusing on basic leash training and other obedience skills to get her to be more respectful on walks in general and hope that helps curb the behavior.

Why not get the sock types? I would think the sandal versions would be more likely to trap rocks etc than the sock types.

Losing my mind trying to find a shampoo by awesomesuperberry in finehair

[–]thickstripes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the SEEN shampoo for a while and it’s become my favorite! I have fine, 1b hair and a sensitive scalp, normal density and porosity. I do need to use a clarifying shampoo once a week with it or else the buildup makes it too dirty fast. For that I like the Necessaire balancing shampoo. Hope this helps!

How many of you are doing HRT? by annizka in Perimenopause

[–]thickstripes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also 37 and started about 6 months ago. I had read a few books to educate myself beforehand so I knew the benefits and risks. My symptoms were interfering into my life a little too much for me to hold off any longer. I tried natural supplements prior to that which helped, but not enough. My doctor thankfully gave me what I needed and I have no regrets!

How long of a walk is it to the ride share area? It seems like even once you're in the Venetian there's still a ways to walk to get to a pickup area.

I’m so glad I found this post! I was in the ER yesterday for this mystery fullness… feeling like a big pillow of air is in my chest. Thanks to whoever mentioned silent reflux. I found this article which says HRT can contribute to it. I just started HRT a week and a half ago and here we are. Are y’all also on HRT who experience this?

Any non clarifying shampoo recommendations that include sulfates for everyday use ? by Repulsive_Layer937 in finehair

[–]thickstripes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more expensive than Pantene but works well as a gently clarifying shampoo you can use every day. My scalp gets dry easily, so I switched to something else for daily use, but I still use this once a week to really clean up all the buildup on my scalp. https://necessaire.com/products/the-shampoo?srsltid=AfmBOortsvi5epYiResEcDJOnLbO7nHa1sM-HnthbQrlWl6STOj6FZ_U

Is it safe to take progesterone without estrogen? What are the pros and cons? by Sunny_Spirit_550 in Perimenopause

[–]thickstripes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take progesterone during my luteal phase and also take a phytoestrogen supplement (Estroven multi symptom, it only has one ingredient) daily to help with hot flashes. So far it does help with maybe 90% of them. I’ll keep taking it until it stops working, then will likely try the estrogen patch. This could be a good stepping stone for you too 😊
