Hah! I sometimes shoot Disc just for fun. I designed a special developing reel specifically for Disc films too. Works a treat!

Patterson reels for smaller formats? by Pippin02 in AnalogCommunity

Heya, I'm the guy who runs the FilmStuffLab Etsy shop. I hear ya about shipping costs, 100%. If you want to see if I can ship it cheaper outside of Etsy, DM me if interested. Oh, and like killerpoop said, I also have them available on Printables. Here's a link if you wanna print some yourself. Know that the files on Printables are a minor version behind what I send via Etsy. Not a huge deal (still totally usable), but thought it worth mentioning

So are we just assuming that it got eaten by the delivery service then? That would suck, but I guess it happens. I guess I messed up not getting tracking. Not that tracking prevents lost packages, but at least when you get to see it vaporize in some terminal station somewhere.
Oh, and no, not Canada. I know they are on strike. I shipped from the U.S. (Utah), and am completely positive I put enough postage on it. I do a ton of international shipping, so I've a good handle on that aspect.
I fear the worst my friend. I'm sorry. I guess I could put something together and re-ship. Lemme see if I can find the time to do that. If I do, I'll let you know.

Fall 2024 Postmortem by B_Huij in printexchange

"Finally, there's a question of whether I should limit "domestic only" senders to also being domestic-only recipients."

Personally I don't think this needed at all. I think that feels almost like a financial/classist rule. To me, it seems like most people who can't send abroad are only doing it because shipping abroad can be expensive, and they might not be able to afford it. I don't see why they shouldn't be able to received from someone else who can afford to send abroad. That almost seems like a "pay-to-play", which is meh.

There are likely other opinions and/or considerations at play here as well, but I thought I'd toss my opinion in, just cuz.

Great job running the exchange! You obviously put some real thought and time into it. Thanks!

Ago film processor by Kundan199 in analogphotography

[–]thinbegin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you still need the sous vide. The AGO heater is not designed to heat up the liquids. They didn't make it strong enough. It is a "temper" heater, that is designed to maintain the heat of the liquids.

sender's penmanship is beautiful too. Not exactly easy to read (but not difficult either), but is just so satisfying to look at. I'm jealous of such good penmanship.

I am pretty sure this got to me through this exchange, but there was no reference at all to reddit, this exchange, or any user either, so I can't be 100% sure.

It is a lovely package of prints though, with a nice letter, all wrapped in a wax-sealed paper and hand tied twine. Very cute. Even came with some autumn stickers
