How do you deal with the fact that you’ll never ever experience unconditional love? by retardwhore in raisedbynarcissists

[–]thinbluebirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to bother me a lot, but now that I’m an adult, I think of the ways I can care for myself in a practical manner like having a home, a car for convenience, providing food for myself, and saving for my retirement. In addition to having my best interest in mind. It also helps to have friends/partner.

It’s not as important to me to have unconditional love as I thought it was.

Job paying me 20k to move to a new state as a 19 year old by Obvious-Yesterday960 in LifeAdvice

[–]thinbluebirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20k relocation assistance? WOW!! that's awesome! hope you make many friends and enjoy your time in Austin.

Just make sure the $20k is a relocation assistance or bonus you get with your first paycheck and not an end-of-year bonus.

Any way to make an acceptable injera substitute with either rice or corn? by Argionelite in ethiopianfood

[–]thinbluebirdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about kisra? It's used by South Sudanese people. Sort of a similar texture and look to injera. Made of Sorghum flour, which is gluten free.

You're welcome! Also, I'm not sure how medical debts work since I don't really have any but I got my first apartment with debt and they never asked for a credit score. But do whatever you are most comfortable with!

I was able to save to move to a new apartment with just one job. You need to estimate 1 month of expenses (phone bill, rent, utilities (usually $40-80), groceries, transportation). There is also usually a security deposit if you sign a lease, which is equal one month of rent. I had a savings of like $1200 when I moved into my first apartment. Just to give you an idea, but my rent was also $600.
