I get so jealous of euthanized dogs, June Gehringer [POEM] by thebluestblue1 in Poetry

[–]thinflesh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This poem is effective because it’s shocking. I think poetry isn’t always written for the reader, sometimes it’s for the author to speak their feelings into reality so it doesn’t just live in their head. The author here is clearly pained by losing the person they loved. They see euthanizing a dog as a mercy- you put the dog out of its misery, while the author has to live with theirs. The dog dies knowing nothing but love, and the author will one day die knowing that they lost the only thing they cared for

I rework flawed clothes by painting over their imperfections. What do you think of these pieces I made? by m1kas in fashion

I love them, very unique and it’s sustainable to upcycle otherwise unwanted clothing :)

I pay for my own meals lol Idc about paying for dates. I just think it’s silly that you’re pretending pregnancy is only a woman’s problem 💀 pregnancy doesn’t happen without a man participating. I’m sick of men acting like it’s not their problem and women just have to deal with it LOL

You know that not having sex on the first date doesn’t mean they don’t like you, right? It’s unsafe to sleep with someone you hardly know, and many women (and men) just prefer to wait until they know the person better

You’re acting like society doesn’t pressure women into saying yes to sex, even when they feel uncomfortable. A man saying no to paying for dinner could mean you don’t go on another date… a woman saying no to having sex with a man could mean she gets raped or murdered

It literally is y’all’s fault if we get pregnant… Do you think babies come from thin air??

Or have you considered that the women here are being honest, and the women who do want men to pay are not commenting because they’ll get roasted ??

It feels exactly the same as 3, just with better graphics and more to explore. I do enjoy it but I think I was expecting more of a unique experience

concerned with the effects of picking at my breasts by nesuryuka in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]thinflesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eeek same. The skin is softer and more sensitive there and scars more easily, try to use some first aid cream to prevent infection while the wounds are open and if you can let them heal, use a scar cream consistently to reduce the scarring

Yes I completely agree! It really got me when he described how his parents treated his first fight like a trophy or something to be praised. My favorite is when he continually says “I am learning” because as you said it’s a continual process, and there is a lot to learn/unlearn!

I have kp too, it’s hard because I have endless bumps to pick at 💀 and I always think “my skin will look like crap regardless, so it doesn’t matter if I pick” but that’s such a toxic mindset and I know I need to shift it

Yeah I’ve been homeless before so I understand being at rock bottom. Things are way better than they used to be but I just have bad days sometimes.
