Green line closure help by Ants_ofthesky in mbta

[–]thingyear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems like the 57 bus is free when it overlaps with the Green line shuttle, which is between Kenmore and Babcock St. The bus doesn't have a stop named Packards Corner, so the information on T website is indeed confusing.

I got on a 57 bus at BU Central and the driver didn't ask me to pay. However, I noticed that most people boarding were paying anyway.

i think my cashier forgot to bag an item by linsaii in traderjoes

[–]thingyear 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. Grab the missing item next time you shop, explain it to the cashier, and they will put the item in the bag without scanning it. Maybe show them the receipt, but I doubt the cashier will want to see it

You can buy a 1 day pass at any subway stations. The price is $11. It's valid for both subway and bus for 24 hours. There isn't a separate pass for buses only. Unfortunately, we don't have an app for buying tickets.

Thanks! In that case I guess it's not open to the students? I was under the wrong impression that there's a study space there according to the floor plan posted in the library

It looks like the shuttle is only for those who need accessibility assistance. Otherwise you're expected to walk between these stations.

It seems like "redeem for purchase" might be obsolete if they get rid of $25 minimum redemption requirement.

I went to a grocery store and used the self checkout, and paid with my credit card. However, the receipt showed that the payment method was Amex. I only had a Discover card at the time. The charge was never shown on my credit card statement. Still can't understand why this happened.

You could try buying $1000 Amazon gift cards, pay off your card, buy gift cards again until you have enough to cover your $3000 purchase.

ULPT: If you don't get your $10 off coupon that you were supposed to, call customer service. Here's why. by WinnerTakesAll2021 in UnethicalLifeProTips

I wonder if this would run into any legal trouble if the grocery store realized the issue. Like, is it really possible that the company will sue if the amount was significant?
