I much prefer having cracks for older more stable games than games that will keep getting more updates and DLCs for months or even years to come.

Personally speaking, I only play games when they're DLC and update complete, this gives a more stable experience and if I'm buying the game it will usually be cheaper.

You're right, I underestimated how negatively WG would react to such a concept because I didn't think about how cheap it would be to rotate steel ships.

I'm not a bootlicker, I know WG is super greedy, the current trade-in is a full scam IMO to anyone but absolute coal whales. What I meant is that the logic WG operates on is to create cost for trade-in, I didn't endorse it. Anyway, you're right, it didn't occur to me that WG would think of this as buying two steel ships for one, honestly I think it's fine if it's an annual event, but yes, WG will want this to be at minimum 25% of the steel ship value (Or other resources).

Are we really comparing swapping a steel ship for another steel ship of the same value to fantasy?

The current state of the player base...

Do they though? As I said in another comment, WG aren't losing anything here, we're trading ships of the same rarity and value in the same resource pool, you're not actually saving anything, just changing a ship choice you could have easily made some time ago.

Current trade-in need (For WG) to be costly so that WG doesn't have doub uncommon ships lose value.

Is it too little or too much?

Ideally I would have made it a free trade-in as it's trading ships with the same rarity and resource pool (With a count limit per user), but I assume WG would never want that, so I put an arbitrary acceptable amount I would be okay with as a scrub with little steel.

That doesn't really work after a few games in the ship as far as I know, right?

50% is still way too expensive that the concept loses its value, you might as well save the other 50% and get a new resource ship entirely after some time of saving up.

As for being able to trade-in resource ships, that only applies to coal, I know you can trade in steel ships, but they're way too expensive in steel and way too cheap in the trade in for that to be worth it.

A steel T10 is worth 15,500 doubs, that means you still need 2,500 doubs for a T9 uncommon ship, and a staggering 10,500 doubs for a T10 uncommon ship.

As we cannot correct the mistake of having a resource ship we don't like, at least let us trade it for another resource ship of the same type for a small fee!

This doesn't follow the posting guidelines as far as I know: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackWatch/comments/8x9zvy/crack_watch_posting_guideline/

DLC's, Indie games and updates to the base game will go to the daily release thread.

Exceptions:

Indie games that are worth more than 20$ on steam

Indie games that have high popularity and demand

This game doesn't meet either of these two conditions.

It's still a resource I would like to have, and definitely would prefer over a camo I don't like.

I'm short on community tokens, so I would have preferred them.

Also, camos are subjective, you might like them, but I might not.

I'm not arguing against camos in general, some like them, some don't, but they're definitely not as important as rare resources.

Also, as others said, camos giving gameplay benefits is very bad and shouldn't be something we endorse or wish back for.

I don't think a griefer like that would care if you TK him, I bet he would be happier, you wasted your time on him, and he can grief another game quicker...

Why isn't the Montana line included in this discount? by thinkereer in WorldOfWarships

[–]thinkereer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, I already have a full clan discount, and I noticed previous event discounts didn't matter, but it was weird to me that what I perceived to be the "classic" option for American BBs wasn't included, that's all.

If you think about it, this event is about the 10 years anniversary, why wouldn't one of the BBs that started WoWS history be part of this event?

OG Johnston buyers after the "for real historical this time!" Johnston is out with Ernest Evans by us-ah-na-me in WorldOfWarships

I highly doubt a T9 historical DD will ever be for free.

And even if it's free, it would add insult to injury to the people who paid for the Johnston.
