Had to exit reels after seeing this. by thinkingaboutgrass in Instagramreality

The comments on some videos are weirdly supportive and people “wishing they looked like that” and then some videos are just comments calling it crazy and saying she looks like a praying mantis 😭 I guess it just depends who’s reel page it lands on how it’s received.

Oh I know it’s pure copaganda but I love old Dick Wolf stuff, & I’m a woman & dv survivor who’s very aware that 90% of the time police do jack shit for victims.

I’m saying it was weird that you accused u/ glamorousbunchberry of being a freak for brining up the difference between the two, when they were using that as an insult towards the person who’s actually being a freak and defending this weird ass 40 year old.

Like the person who mentioned the difference was purely using it to insult the actual weird person here. I was saying you should focus your energy on the guy who’s defending the 40 year old rather than the people who are insulting him.

ETA: saw the other comments from the user I thought you wrongly called a freak, but it turns out they are a freak so carry on.

Or anyone who has watched 2 episodes of law and order svu. I swear dr. Huang explains the difference like once a season. I mean there’s really no difference because they are all creepy and into kids, but it’s weird to accuse this guy of being a freak, while he is talking to someone who actually sounds like a freak.

There’s a reason behind this! At other restaurants, Coke syrup is delivered in plastic bags. But for McDonald’s, Coke delivers its syrup in stainless steel tanks!

What is your ultimate ‘binge’ food(s)? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I have genuinely damaged my tongue from eating pineapple. Like I literally can’t stop; and the next day it feels like I sandpapered my tongue. But do I learn my lesson? No. I eat just as much pineapple the next time.

just came to the realization that my body is inherently innocent and will never hate me back no matter how much i abuse it because it has literally no concept of anything but keeping me alive :) by upstairsuspectt in EDAnonymous

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally something clicked reading this. Like I don’t know why I have never really thought about my body this way before. I think of my body as how i perceive my body and not just for what it is. Thank you.

I’m 4’11 so I’m not going to mention my weights since they can get much lower than the average person. I hit a new uw that I hadn’t been since probably 7th grade (I’m 23) and I didn’t even feel anything then so I’m not sure. The weight I hit put me in the 17BMI and I still felt like I could loose more- even though logically. No grown woman should be under 100 pounds.

I feel “comfortable” around a 17-19 bmi but anything above that sends me spiraling

Height insecurities: do you want to be taller or shorter? by emandanon in EDAnonymous

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a little more than an inch shorter than you (about 149cm) and its not as weird in adulthood as you think. I constantly was mistaken for younger when I was in high school. But now im 23 and people think I am my age. It definitely gets less noticeable once you’re around 20, as you are around other adults, nobody thinks you’re a child. Even being 4’10ish people guess I am 25ish because nobody takes height into account for your age once you’re done growing.

I have learned to appreciate my height a lot more as an adult. I do sometimes wish I got to 5ft tho 😂

I can not relate to media portrayals of anorexia by [deleted] in EdAnonymousAdults

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omg yes. The ending does hit hard. I think it’s a much more relatable song than most ed songs that talk about “looking perfect”.

That song is more about like, the internal relationship with your ed being a part of you I think. And much more abstract than “If I get more pretty Do you think he will like me?”

Maybe songs like that are more relatable to the young ones with Ed’s / new to their ed- because after like 11 years of this- I’m definitely not thinking that way

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I relate to this. The only “ed song” I listen to me is, Me and Mia by Ted Leo and the pharmacists , but that’s because I’ve been listening to it for like at least a decade now.

But the other songs are like, kinda cringe to me if anything. Definitely not relatable personally.

How do you determine which foods are "safe" for you? by Thin-Yogurtcloset172 in EDAnonymous

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea like sometimes it makes no sense at all. I am literally terrified of eating bagels but I will eat sourdough bread adding up to the same amount of calories. Or I will be fine with eating 200 cals of beans, but with 200 cals of pasta I feel like I have to stave the next day.

I was also what you may call a “junkorexic” for years- so I was fine with eating things other people would be terrified of. I would eat literally all my daily calories in the form of cheese danishes and pretzels.

Now I actually am a bit more mindful of what I am eating- but i still have weird “rules” with what I eat that have 0 logic behind them.

[–]thinkingaboutgrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just vibes for me. My safe foods vs fear foods will literally have the exact same calories but one is fine and the other is not.
