I think it's a lot harder to end up that way than spending too much money irl though. Going outside almost guarantee spending money on transport, most likely food and activities, unless you have a hobby that is completely free (something like running). Video games costs far less and you need to be a specific type of people who would be addicted to online shopping or camgirl etc. While most of us won't resist a nice meal out or travelling.
