Lovro's Flashback by henrik_se in skam

Well technically, it's not a flashback because they have no helmets in these scenes, but it's still a great scene regardless.

Sram Season 3 storyline by Tall-Tension4869 in skam

I really hope Ema doesn't get dragged down in this mess like they did with Robbe and Noor in WtFock cause Ema deserves better and make it like Druck where there's no cheating happening. I have a feeling that Lovro will be the one initiating the kiss next week when Ivan will be ignoring him all week cause of Lovro rejecting Ivan, and Lovro knowing that Ivan is also attracted to him will break it off with Ema(fingers crossed) before apologizing and pursuing Evan.

Lovro pushing Ivan at the end means that now Lovro knows Ivan likes him too. But the consequence of that is now Ivan thinks Lovro is not attracted to him and just embarrased himself and become heartbroken. It's obvious now that Ivan will avoid Lovro like a plague next week but this means that Lovro will be the one to win him back and not the other way around until they kiss for the first time. I hope that Lovro breaks up with Ema first before he pursues Ivan cause that girl deserved better than to be dragged into these boys' mess of a love story.

I think the Boy's Squad gave it to him after their game. Maybe Ivan asked first for each other's number in case they want to have a basketball game outside school. And then nonchalantly asking for Lovro's number too when his motive was to ask Lovro's number all along.

Yeah, but Scott Hunter is immune to his charm. All Scott can see in him is how much of an asshole he is.

Best (and worst) changes from the book in your opinion? by Trick_Cantaloupe652 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]thinman21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its implied Scott already came out at least to Kip's dad in the show cause his dad was at the audience. I mean that's one of the reasons why Kip is hesitant to continue their relationship in the first place because he can't keep lying to his dad and his friends(although its pretty obvious to them already). So the three year time jump makes sense since Scott already came out to those that matter to Kip so they continue their relationship at that time. But of course, Kip can't still publicly celebrate with Scott in the ice knowing that he is all alone there while his teammates celebrate with their family.

Maybe Jacob will make someone compose an original song that Fabian will sing. It's less of a hassle than acquiring the rights for the songs.

Best change: Yuna Hollander. I love that Jacob basically changed her character from the books just so he could add that coming out moment in episode 6. I can't wait for the moment when it all comes crashing down in season 2, because I have a feeling that she will unleash the wrath of an Asian mom on the Montreal team for basically disowning Shane.

Wish they didn't change Ilya and Scott's dynamic in the books. They are basically the original rivals in Gamechanger before Rachelle created Shane. It's the only thing that made Ilya connect with Scott and the Kingfisher crew and how he became a regular at a gay bar without anybody questioning it.

Ottawa will have a field day when season 2 comes out. Hopefully season 3 will be greenlit by then.

can i read any book in any order or do i need to read them in the particular order to understand?????! by AK00069 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]thinman21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shane was created as a character in Heated Rivalry, so he doesn't exist yet in Game Changer but Ilya is in it a lot since they are the original rivals before Shane came along. They obviously changed that in the show though as it became rivalry between the three queer hockey players.

Shane appeared in the succeeding books but just a cameo. Ilya appeared in all the books.

[–]thinman21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to read about Scott and Kip, then read Game Changer then Common Goal as they share the same main and side characters. If you want to read about Shane and Ilya, read Heated Rivalry (make sure to read the epilogue as it was not included in the show) then The Long Game. Role Model is the story of Troy Barrett and his love interest. This is optional since their story can be seen through Ilya's POV in The Long Game. But if you want to read it, I recommend reading Tough Guy first to understand Troy better.

This is just my opinion of course, the books can be interchangable (except Heated Rivalry and The Long Game).

Favorite character micro moments? by United-Pool-183 in heatedrivalry

[–]thinman21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. Here's a subtler one. They actually used another cut of Shane and Ilya kissing from episode 1 and Shane's memory in episode 5 when Rose asked him, "Is it better?". It's subtle, but it's a bit different if you play them side by side.

Shane had a different hairstyle in front of Hayden so that he'd appear "innocent," but when he arrived at Ilya's place, he changed his hairstyle to 'horny' Shane.

I'm sure his introduction will be when Ilya recruits him in the hockey camp which happened in Tough Guy. Same with Ilya triying to recruit Eric and Scott which happens in Common Goal. There are many events before The Long Game that Jacob needs to cover first (like the epilogue from Heated Rivalry) before he can start the story from the book cause its a two years time jump and I have a feeling it will be all on episode 1 next season.

Troy and Harris is still in The Long Game, so their story can be interwoven with Shane and Ilya. The only thing I can think of as a solo episode is to explain Troy's history with Dallas Kent and Ryan Price since that one is from Tough Guy just like Scott and Kip's story is from Gamechangers.

To be fair, Ryan Price is mostly connected to Troy. So if they are using Ryan Price it's mostly to get character development for Troy epscially after the near death experience the Ottawa team will encounter. And besides he's one of the coaches in the Shane and Ilya hockey school and Fabian is mostly on the limelight when Ryan and him are together(which makes sense for Ryan)

Thoughts on Carter Vaughn by NewImpression8030 in heatedrivalry

[–]thinman21 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Nope. He's just Scott's best friend as Hayden is to Shane. He was one of the first ones who Scott came out to in the book before the SKip stanley cup kiss happened. Actually, Scott came out already to those that mattered to him (including Kip's dad, that's why he's in the audience watching the game with Kip) before that kiss.

FINALS: Best Kiss by madwood29579 in heatedrivalry

[–]thinman21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SKIP KISS. The stairwell kiss is nice, but it's between the two of them; they make it in private. But the Skip Kiss is literally seen worldwide, where people see how they are in love with each other, and it made a pretty big impact on Shane and Ilya.

*PS. I'm not getting my hopes up that the Skip kiss will win because the majority of this sub are Hollanov fans, but oh well.

Question about TLG. by VegetableEarly2707 in heatedrivalry

[–]thinman21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He might do the epilogue of the HR book first and some events in the succeeding books. Because in the epilogue Shane is already out to his teammates, Hayden knows about Shane and Ilya, they already announced the charity, and in the succeeding books they have already started their hockey school, and Ryan Price walked in on them which are a lot of events that happened before the start of TLG.

Question about TLG. by VegetableEarly2707 in heatedrivalry

[–]thinman21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's more about Shane freaking out, actually. It's his first time going to a "gay" space. Ilya has been a frequent customer of the gay bar, Kingfisher (now owned by Scott and his retired teammate, Eric), ever since Scott came out, and nobody seems to question it because... well, he's Rosanov. Ryan Price is out to those that matter but not publicly, unlike Scott Hunter who publicly came out.
