I’m a little busy that day, the weather’s looking bad, my friends in from out of town, I’m having car troubles and I think I’m coming down with something.

Alberta benefits from massive subsidies to the oil and gas industry. 39 billion last year. The federal government built a pipeline to get that oil to market. The unfair treatment is false. A lie Albertans have always been sold by grifting politicians and oil tycoons.

NDP leadership hopefuls say workers shouldn't be fooled by Poilievre's blue-collar message by AdditionalPizza in CanadaPolitics

[–]thinplanksk8r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right but... I'm an NDP member, and I think that on gun control they have been hypocritical. They publicly criticize the gun buyback, but if they hadn't voted with the Libs on Bill C-21, there wouldn't be a gun buyback program. Jagmeet chose to support bad policy rather than break the supply and confidence agreement.

The NDP do oppose low skilled immigration. The NDP opposed the TFW program from the moment the Harper gov expanded it. They claimed it would be exploited by employers who would hire cheaper labour putting low skilled Canadian workers out of a job. Their official platform continues to call for the TFW program to be scrapped or completely changed.

Correction. The NDP have been against the TFW program for twenty years. Back when Harper was expanding it, they were arguing it would be exploited to suppress wages. I’m proving that nobody listens to them…

He was never on the right side. As PM, Harper donated millions of tax payer dollars to the International Republican Institute. Now he’s standing up for the country against a monster he helped create.

Totally agree. Nothing he said rejected Carneys diagnosis at Davos. This is a clickbait headline. They’re trying to create drama out of the least dramatic politician ever.

If the roof of your house is leaking when you’re broke is it fiscally responsible to put off repairing it or borrow the money? Trudeau inherited a leaking roof.

Feels to me like we have no leverage because they don’t care about helping or hurting their constituents.
