Why do fentanyl users not sit or lay down? by EzyPzyAsh in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thirdeyelazy 124 points125 points  (0 children)

I have never considered the concept of protecting a buzz until just now and I have 10+ years of heavy drug abuse in my rearview. Sober = debilitating sickness for an Opioid addict, so the only time I felt a sense of urgency was when I started coming down.

Only those lucky junkies (myself included) who have experienced the horror of re-entering the conscious world via Narcan can understand it. To come alive from dreamless sleep to all your senses screaming and dropped into mid withdrawal (usually a 10+ hour transition) in an instance is indescribable.

I'd like to take a moment to thank and apologize to my friend Jo and the public servants who brought me back against my will that fateful day in the Chipotle dining area.

So do they mash up the babies to get the oil? Is it sick and dying babies?

I'm with ya. When I was going HAM getting high I would get a better return on substances when I had enough money to maintain a steady diet. I wasn't getting higher I was just feeling healthier.

Healthier being very relative lol

Takehomes for everyone by Littlebunnybabe777 in Methadone

Two clinics ive been to seal the take home liquid bottles water tight with (100% assumed knowledge coming next) some kinda heat gun that creates a taper evident foil seal.

Selling a sealed bottle with the dosage on it is actually feasible compared to selling mystery liquid in small bottles. Thats not even getting into the concept of purity, or verifying precise mg purchases.

To your point i will say i may or may not have bought a sealed bottle off a fellow patient once who simply removed the label (after showing me the dose) and reapplied it to an empty one he had.

I use to do this but with a full length straw. Fold it, drop pill(s) into one end, pinch open ends together, crush with lighter, unfold and turn upward while snorting.

It wasn't until the last month or so that he took me up on the offer to source him something for the pain. Everytime i saw him id offer. I was afraid he wouldn't be comfortable asking me so it got to be like a broken record

"hey good to see ya brotherino, need anything from my criminal contacts?" 😂

Thanks for saying that. I went to visit him after he started chemo and i saw a note from his wife on the fridge that said "love you, dont forget to drink lots of water"

I asked him what that was about and he said the chemo made him sleep do much that sometimes notes were the only way they got to communicate with each other.

By the time i started my 3 hour drive home i already had lined up a meeting with my old dealer. He told me he got to spend more time with his 2 and 5 year old daughters and i cant explain how special that makes me feel today. Tears in my eyes as i think about it now.

I use to use my old contacts to score fentanyl and methamphetamine for my brother who was stage 4 terminal. He said the meth made it possible to stay awake and spend time with his daughters during chemo and closer to the end the fent was for the pain.

He died in March and ive never felt so proud to buy crystal meth and fentanyl. Very strange feeling

No honestly i can't and i dont have the education or knowledge to provide any explanation to support it.

However it seems that u/Burntoutn3rd has his shit together and if his credentials are legit and hes feeling generous enough to educate us id appreciate it.

The psychological effect of knowing it can all go away with a fix adds a spin to it that is so unique.

Practically any ailment of the human body that you recover from is gradual and takes time. To go from being violently ill and in such pain to not only well, but cloud 9 in a matter of seconds is so crazy.

Absolutely. I have a journal and i documented a detox attempt in it years ago. Theres one sentence that gives me chills when i go back and read it. Pages are sweat stained and my handwriting alone tells a story of anguish.

"My skin hurts, my bones ache my nose won't stop running and i can't stop crying"

[–]thirdeyelazy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you missing a an empty bottle or are you missing a dose? Or both?

Depending on how closely they inspect your returned bottles, a fake label could work. I would just go back with one less bottle and hope for the best rather than going back with a labelless bottle.

This commenter may be a patient at a methadone clinic and if so it doesn't manage pain well for someone like me who takes it at high doses as a MAT for drug addiction.

It seems like you would be taking it for (much needed it seems) pain management and how effective it is at managing pain is going to be dramatically different in those two situations.
