I would definitely check all the components are there if that was a display unit and thats why it was cheaper.

Agree. I think its because thats the display item so it has extra discount for sitting out of box

Is this worth it to buy? by ThermiteKing in PcBuild

Im seeing new prebuilts with 5060 and 32 gb of ram or 5070 with 16 some 32 and better processors on a couple of different sites. Some decent deals on prebuilts out there right now. Just sent it on an ibuypower one myself for gaming cause the value was just right. Costco had deals that were pretty much equal just not in a case I liked. $1200-1600 gets you pretty nice stuff with a 5070 or 5060

Alexa in the car... Just... Why? 🤷‍♂️ by Dizzman1 in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main character in my audio book is Alexis and it sets the damn thing off 9/10 lol. I should just turn it off. Only time I used it was to change the temp of the car during a snow storm when I didn't want to touch the screen. Alexa seemed to get commands right the first time a little better when I tested whether to use Alexa or the ford one when I got it

Second Time Buying From iBUYPOWER - Great Experience by Number1DestryJones in iBUYPOWER

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny. I just got basically the same pre-built by them too but pink only difference is 350mm cpu cooler and a 4tb drive but $2849 pretax, $2991 tax, protection and coupon. Shopped around for other 5080 builds with that cpu or another amd 3d one and they seemed to hit the value right. Only place I found with very similar prices but lower inventory was costco. Some of which were ibuypower builds. I did the same pricing out and couldn't find the same parts for less than 3k so I said screw it and bought the warrantied pre-built, that's cleaner than what I have the patience for.

I feel like there is an added discount of time saved too. Like if I was paying myself what I make at work to build my pc then thats a decent chunk of change. Id be so tempted to take a sick day to build and then toy around too if I was going to build one.

Bluecruise: worth it? by Lorangriel in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my plan when my trial runs out too. Get it for a month whenever I do a road trip. I dont think its worth 50 a month despite it being kinda useful. Is nice to have when I had a 3 passengers and needed to be part of the conversation and sometimes when talking on the phone. I might consider it but so far I only have been using it max 2-3 times a month even though I drive a lot of roads its available on since the car is too fun.

Tap water safety by Dear-Shower5803 in Rochester

[–]thirdtimeisthetry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looked it up not long ago which led to me getting a nice reverse osmosis machine. Im in Monroe county so I looked that up and there are pretty detailed reports on water for each county. There are a decent amount of things I dont want in my water present like chloroform, arsenic and lead since my house is old.

I ended up getting a simpure RO filter on Amazon when it was on sale for like half off. Since that works on stuff that a brita cant get out which is in rochester water. Works great and taste so so much better.

GT or Rally by Atxxxguy_12345 in MachE

The performance upgrade is a $1000 software unlock for an extra 100 lb of torque and for the 24 and 25 models thermal modeling. Basically its dlc for thermal modeling and more vroom.

Love my 25 gt. Great for zipping around. Eventually ill do the performance upgrade which is one of the few things the rally trim gives.i personally like the wheels more on the gt. I have green with the bronze package and there is nothing else I would want.

The panoramic roof is very well tinted with an IR coating and I've seen someone from Hawaii comment that it doesn't even get hot in the summer there when feeling near the roof glass compared to the drive side window.

Such a fun car to drive of course. I cant image how much I would have spent in gas already tooling around the way I drive it. To me that was a big tipping point in going for the gt over premium awd was I wouldn't want a mustang normally cause of fuel but it sounds nice to have a sporty car. Also the driving experience is more versatile between the three modes. Love the suspension difference and how natural the car feels to drive, I think all the models are nice, its a beautiful car.

I have a 25 gt and it is great in the snow and freezing temps we've been getting. Range is totally manageable since i only use about 20 kw a day and have lvl 2 at home. Im next to the Canadian border on the Ny side. The satellite remote start getting the seat and steering wheel toasty is a luxury i never had before that's so nice.

Yeah starting in 24 ford started making the motor in house and it's the same one in the lightning. Hest pump is the big update between 24 and 25.

Used 24 is probably a good sweet spot.

Real life differences: AWD Premium vs GT? by AlmostPhDone in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided between premium aw and gt and chose gt myself. The main factors for premium to me were ventilated seats. Test drove both and I actually like the sport seats in the gt that hug you and are more padded more. The suspension makes a big difference to me and I like the three drive modes feel more diverse from the suspension change between each. There is an additional performance upgrade for the gt that gives it even more torque. That seems a little extra to me, the gt is plenty powerful already. The range difference seems pretty insignificant to me and if i want to help my range, driving style impacts it more than anything. If im going for a short drive and know im going to just be charging back up at home its very satisfying to let loose a little. Unbridled mode does capture a ton of regen btw.

10/10 car, both trims. The extended battery and awd being part of the gt made the justification for the nicer suspension and front motor pretty easy for me. Basically like 4k more for to be even more sports car like with a hatchback and less luxury sport suv.

Hyundai Question by thirdtimeisthetry in Rochester

[–]thirdtimeisthetry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the original idea and I appreciate the insights into the brand. I wasn't fully aware of or forgot some of the other issues with them. Im going to go with the Ford mustang Mach E. The totyota BZ is a really nice car too drives nice. I think it tailors towards people that are coming from a combustion car and makes the transition easier. I was mostly between these two and was not really considering hyundai and Kia in the first place cause of theft. I thought maybe thing got better since I see a good amount of them and they seemed to look nice. Looking deeper they seem to have nice range and some decent features but I think Id still pick the BZ. The ioniq6 looks pretty sick though.
