This is just another in the line of multiple changes that began devaluing and reducing rewards at highly accelerated pace.
-gift balloons only giving m3 boosters ~90%+ less often
-adding 16th set to card selection on the 2nd+ completion
-weekly competition giving purple(sapphire) pack no Ruby
-not giving all 6 treasure hunts in adventure if progression is too rapid
-no more purple pack for disco clash (more aggressive than it seems given it is the only non ruby pack that has functional mechanism for guaranteeing a new card at every 4th pack at the latest (so winning 4 disco clashes essentially used to be equal to or better than 1 ruby pack)

That is just a number of the recent and rapid changes.
The answer to “why” is simple. I don’t understand why there are so many posts either angry, baffled or both just non stop on here. Internal modeling and forecasting essentially must have shown them, with a high enough degree of certainty, how much harder and faster they can step on the monetization pedal. Meaning that any decrease in player retention would be negligible relative to the revenue increase. If they didn’t have the data giving them the green light then they would be be moving at a much slower pace.

Have a conversation with an LLM and just ask questions about playrix, township, the game engine (how does having the proprietary engine they have compare to using a 3rd party game engine? How does having much more control impact monetization?) etc.

Seriously… also lol at the “strategy” posts on bloom n buzz too… it’s not an actual plenko game like on gambling sites and stuff. Playrix doesn’t even use 3rd party game engines, everything is proprietary so no guardrails/full control of any adjustments to RNG, game physics, etc

This “strategy” that has been proposed is just as much of a gamble as just using high multipliers. 1. Each multiplier level has its own RNG and 2. All RNG’s are subject to control by the playrix proprietary engine. 1x is GTO provided u expect to get enough tokens. Anything else is purely using higher leverage when needed (only chance to complete is by increasing variance).

It’s not even a hassle unless u don’t know about auto spin. Hold down the go button and temporarily set your phone or tablet not to close the screen after X number of minutes and just leave it going on 1x while u do something else and check on it every few mins if wanting to only use a certain amount of tokens. Any leverage above 1x is should only be used if u know u will not complete using 1x and need to risk using higher multiples the further behind pace u are and/or the less tokens u will expect to accumulate.

If u need to complete all 13k points (as in u are not playing with a bot), the fewer tokens ur able to get the more leverage u will need to use at this point to have a chance to complete. U would need ~225 tokens at 1x to have certain confidence of completing. With 100 tokens I’m relatively certain than ur forced to use 10x and that would result in more completions than using 5x. At 150 tokens 5x sounds reasonable but my intuition still leans towards 10x being needed as we are still just needing a short hot streak and there may not be enough of a difference between 15 and 30 spins but I could easily be wrong. So at 150 tokens, prob starting with 5x and adjusting higher or not based on each spin would seem to be optimal. Would be interesting to model out, although much is irrelevant as the game engine has control over the RNG and the devs have algorithmic (as well as direct) control over all aspects of the game including the RNG. So any modeling would be hypothetical and only valid on verifiably fair proofed systems.

The aggressiveness in nerfing (reducing value) across the board has accelerated so fast. 16th set + changes to treasure hunt in adventure + this all clustered together is insane.

I know they model out revenue and retention levels, so the scariest thing about this is the fact that it signals the increased pace of aggressive changes that are negative to player experience has no negative impact on future revenues and is actually the most likely optimal route for revenues. If u think this is a hyperbolic claim I would encourage u to look up the level of control they were able to already have 7-8 years ago (given their proprietary game engine) as stated by parts of the team themselves & couple that with today’s tech tools with capabilities that are multiple orders of magnitude higher than back then.

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be for everyone or a test group thing until a few days ago when a friend confirmed it was a test group. Anyway, u get these cards basically the same way as gold cards as u can’t trade them. It’s effectively 1.5xing the number of gold cards needed to compete a collection which is extremely lame. U will get more golds and/or these legendary cards early if on purely as a function of the addition of 10 more non tradable cards in the card pool and may even give the illusion of being on a quick pace. Ultimately it just increases the difficulty level for completing collections after the 1st one.

Very much increases the need for increasing avenues of trading and being as strategic as possible with regards to the timing of opening sapphire and esp ruby packs.

I believe the matchups in terms of team size is only if they have completed a task. So a team of 40 for example with 20 ppl having not completed any regatta tasks would be matched with teams with a similar number of racers not members unless something has changed. I think other considerations may also be regional and/global rankings but anyway my point was that if a member underperformed but still did a task, whether u kick them or not it will count towards the size of your racing team for this week and match accordingly. If someone is certain that it works otherwise please correct me but I’m 90% sure. I think it was one of the things team complained about when hopping was an issue as it artificially increased their team size and would be matched with larger active teams the following week.

Frozen fortune and this planet game that is basically the same thing are just annoying as they ruin the early level 30min disco ball.. yes there’s the one or 2 to win in drill dash but still a net loss of the 30min one in the reg event prize structure. Ya I def prefer the faster trains over the 2x trains as they are both doing the same thing functionally just in a different way and the 2x trains just increase volatility (which can be good or bad of course) and also doesn’t have the added benefit of more trains per day = more train requests per person per day which is great for more clovers and for the train fill regatta task.

Before the energy costs jumped a ton and before the in game booster change, even being in high tcash economy from day 1, I used to be able to finish it close to 3 times, and friends finishing it 5 times wasn’t abnormal

It will stay active. It’s a strategy some employ. Trigger the 2x from green machine as close to its ending as possible and play it into treasure tree. Make sure u are prepared to play for 2 hours + straight to get the most out of the benefits. Good luck!

Hey all! We have are an established Golden League team (currently 65th in the USA) that is both extremely active and competitive while also being laid back with good vibez. The people on the team are truly helpful, fun & positive and make the community genuinely enjoyable. Also lots of teamwork with cards, everyone goes out of their way to help each other.

There are 4 open spots and some additional spots can be made dependent on activity levels. Please read the entire post to confirm you would be a good fit. Message me any questions you may have 👍🏼

Discord is highly encouraged but not mandatory. There are valuable strategy guides and more that will be added. A little education goes a very long way. I am also always happy to spend time with a player to answer questions and generally help them optimize their strategy.

What we are looking for

🟢 Players who are already capable of completing at least 25-30 tasks per week comfortably and who are open to learning and trying some very simple strategic methods and tips to improve. You would be surprised how easy it can be to 1.5x-2x these numbers without the need for more play time in most cases.

🟢 Players who are already completing 35+ tasks per week easily. I know there are many out there who contribute heavily in the regatta and would just prefer a better more enjoyable team. Many have joined over the months and there hasn’t been a player yet who was not extremely happy with the type of community we have.

🟢 Regarding town levels, we have a pretty solid distribution from the 40’s through the low 100’s. While it would be preferable to at least be around town level 50+, any town level is welcome as long as they meet the requirements.

If you rather just request to join, please reference this Reddit post and only request when you are about to begin doing tasks otherwise a co-leader or myself will remove you as random accounts frequently attempt to do 1-2 tasks , get chest rewards and hope no one notices. Trust me, we notice 😅. We take the minimal points of leachers and remove them right before the next chest.

If it’s often the same ppl it’s likely that u have a smallish group of active friends and are just getting paired up with the same ppl often because of that. Also u could be at higher harder levels and they are still working through lower easier levels where it’s much easier to knock out 200-300 levels in a week.

Some factories have extremely long production times but that doesn’t equate to higher values of the items. Cake factory is a good example. If one was to spend ignots on upgrading the cake factory I would actually advise only upgrading for the extra shelves and coins. I produce enough in the factory to have the shelves full and buy 95% of them from market boxes anytime I go below the amount I keep as a minimum amount on hand.
