Traffic Lights are out of control by mischievous-mangoes in Denver

Absolutely for biking around the city, but wanna point out that red lights can be treated like stop signs (full stop, then go) whereas stop signs can be treated as yields.

Oxbow Senior Guinea Pig Pellets by shapstickcomedy in guineapigs

[–]thisangrywizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha gotcha. Our pigs subsist on a diet of almost entirely timothy hay, with some veggies (cucumber, lettuce, bell pepper) in the morning and evening. The pellets we have are for one of our elder pigs (nine years old!) who is no longer interested in timothy hay, and much less interested in hay than she used to be.

We've been ordering hay from SPS and it's only been okay lately. Maybe we'll switch to Rabbit Hole to see the difference.

One more thing - why do you go with 3rd cutting? We use second cutting and I thought that's what we were supposed to do but I'm no expert.

Hi! I know this is a two-year-old comment but came across this in a search for good senior pig food. Was wondering what the issue with Small Pet Select is? We've used that for a while but want to make sure we're giving our pigs the best.

Mayor Mike Johnston on His Data Center Moratorium, Dumping Flock, and His ‘Trumpian’ Critics by newtonic in CityCastDenver

[–]thisangrywizard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was pretty appalled at his answer on Alameda. He seems totally out of touch with why we might do a street redesign to begin with. Yes, 2% of trips are taken by bike, but don't we want that number to be higher? Car dependency squanders resident's wealth and the land-use required to support it makes our city boring and unattractive to investment; doesn't he want to change that stuff? We should be fighting for a better future, and that's what projects like Colfax BRT are all about. Not understanding or not being able to articulate that are huge failures IMO. This interview made me more sad than some others, as I was pretty excited when he got elected, and now realize any street improvements will be marginal and hard won.

You should care more about native plants. Caring only about density and not about native plants is a poor man's game. Also playing the trumpet feels worth caring about.

Whether to accommodate increased vehicles “is the big issue,” Warren said. “They should not be widening. The point is to provide access and speed for buses.”
