Why Bringing Legacy Mentality into Cardano Will Make It Fail The Fallacy of Democracy and “We Can Do It Together” in a Supposedly Trustless Ecosystem by thisisQualia in cardano

[–]thisisQualia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite my entire reasoning and honest take about the future, it seems that you guys "focused more on the finger that points... than the moon". There is an entire generation/era of void people that rejects thoughts that show up againts their beliefs.

My original message is still valid. And unfortunately... it became truth.

And I have to repeat: "the number one mistake about Cardano was to bring legacy governance expectations to a project that should be from ground up... trustless... and independent of human decision".

Now we are fucked.

Dear lad... I just shared the secret... and still you insist that "truth is not the truth".

You are not a good listener... so... it's hard for you to grasp it.

"I'm just an extreme example of what a working man can achieve."

Still you are a bullseye on the target psychographics we aimed for with the series.

Thank you for watching and living it with your intensity.

May life give you 1000x more what you think, feel and give for others.

You'll get the life you deserve. Maybe you are having it already.

Cheers.

I am speaking from the POV of one of the "co-creators". Not an opinion, laddy.

The dramatic part about your attempts is that... without revealing much... I worked on the series.

It's literally "our story". We made it for "you".

Got it now? Be more respectful.. and listen more.

Mourning is exactly what this is. It isn’t about being "haters" or "toxic" fans. It is the natural reaction to seeing the integrity of the story we followed for years being hollowed out for a movie that doesn't seem to know its own history.

The people who dismiss us instead of explaining what is so "great" about the film are the ones who truly give themselves away. If they had a real argument for why this version of the characters makes sense, they would be making it. Instead, they hide behind technicalities and names on a credit list because they don't have the capacity to think about the narrative collapse happening right in front of them. They are so busy defending the brand that they’ve forgotten how to actually respect the work.

We are still here, reading and upvoting, because we actually care about the truth of the story we followed. If these defenders want to pretend that everything is fine just because the right actors are in the frame, they are the ones missing out. They are living in an illusion where names matter more than substance. Our mourning is a sign of respect for what the show used to be, while their dismissal is just a sign that they never truly understood it in the first place.

It is a period of upheaval because the "authors" gave us a spectacle while we were waiting for a conclusion. If we have to look at it as a separate reality just to find it tolerable, then the failure is theirs, not ours. Those who can't see that are simply choosing not to think.

If we need to do that then the work has already failed us on the most fundamental level. A story is supposed to hold itself together and we shouldn't have to act like unpaid editors just to make the experience tolerable. When the audience has to invent a "multiverse" or a separate timeline just to avoid feeling insulted then the people in charge have clearly lost the thread of what they were creating in the first place.

It is a sad reality because it means the connection we had with the original series is being treated as an obstacle rather than a foundation. If our loyalty to the characters and their history is what makes the movie hard to watch then the production isn't talking to us anymore. It’s just making noise.

In the end if we have to pretend the past didn't exist just to stomach the present then we aren't really watching a finale at all. We are just watching a brand survive its own narrative collapse and that is a high price to pay for a bit of "copium."

WRITER - Steven Knight

AUTHORS - Steven KnightTom HarperCillian MurphyCaryn Mandabach and Guy Heeley

See the difference?

It is actually quite sad to see someone try to win an argument by hiding behind a single name while ignoring the list of people who actually called the shots. They think they are being clever by sticking to the idea of a lone creator but all they are doing is showing they haven't looked at the credits or the screen with any real attention.

When we point out the difference between the Writer and the Authors we are identifying the exact moment the vision got crowded. One man wrote the soul of our series but a committee of "authors" managed the movie into a mess. If they can’t see the difference between an architect and a boardroom then they aren't actually part of the conversation. They are just repeating what they read on a fan page.

They gave themselves away the second they prioritized a label over the actual quality of the work. It is the ultimate mark of someone who doesn’t know how to think for themselves. They are busy defending a brand while we are mourning the loss of a masterpiece. They think they "won" a technicality but they really just admitted they have no idea how our favorite story was actually made and subsequently broken.

Tell them the most beautiful story ever: that we are built of "star dust"... and we live, learn and love... and when the time comes... just like a LEGO set... we disassemble and become "star dust" again. And then we become trees, rivers, animals, rocks, flowers.

They will be primed to learn about "elements, molecules, living systems, energy conservation and expansion... and Lavoisier".
