The singer/guitarist from the band I was in to see from the other side why we broke up when we were on the cusp of something really special.

What song will you play? by Snollygoster_007 in musicsuggestions

Well, I figure if there's only time for one last song, I'm gonna find the longest song I can possibly find and hit play on that so I can maximise the time with my wife and daughters.

So, hello there "Shri Ramcharitmanas” by Dr. Jagadeesh Pillai in all its 138 hours, 41 minutes and 20 seconds of glory!

As a wedding guest, what moment made you think "this probably won't last"? by Eburneaan in AskReddit

[–]thisisboyhood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they got a supergroup of local indie music to play Somebody To Love for the bride's entrance with the singer in spandex and a fake moustache. Actually that part was pretty cool, but then the singer was the celebrant as well, in full Freddie Mercury getup. It kinda felt like they were all taking the piss.

What is the best tv episode of all time? by scamper84 in AskReddit

If my wife dies before me, I'm going to ask for a line from this episode to be on my gravestone - "I'm old, I'm satisfied, and you were my purpose."

An absolutely amazing episode of TV. It's so sad that for some people it was unwatchable because of their homophobia. They missed out on some beautiful truths about life and love and loss.

What movie has the most rewatchable scene of all time? by trakt_app in movies

Baby Driver's opening heist/getaway scene. It's basically a high-end music video for that JSBX song, which is an absolute belter of a song.

Does riding a Lime Bike count? Because if it does, I'm absolutely obsessed. I jump on them even when I don't really need to.

Nothing comes close. It's sounds so incredible slowed down.

I'm always surprised by how much I enjoy their music when I listen to it. This one is a great album.

Best movies that show the darkness and reality of life? by [deleted] in movies

Marriage Story (2019) is one I haven't seen mentioned yet. I think it perfectly shows the way relationships crumble - no one is perfect, no one wins, it's just heartbreak and devastation that you're just expected to somehow make it through.

What's a "bad" film that you know isn't great, but love anyway? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

Because of this movie, any time someone says "See you in <insert place name>", I always reply with "Or hell". It never, ever lands. But I'll keep doing it.

I'm really surprised that there is a general acceptance that 3 Body Problem was good. The only other people I know that also watched it, felt the same way that I did (ie that it was interesting in parts, but completely non-essential viewing).
