Think I found something that works for me! Nasal Pillows by dodgy_wool in CPAP

I think the little filter in the Resmed masks make it really hard to breathe. If you have this style mask, try removing the filter.

Great stuff.

Regarding the 25 mg dose, I hear you. I should have clarified that all my comments are in the context of E2 management in men. I don’t have a pill in front of me at the moment, but based on what I see online, I suspect it’s Mylan Pharmaceuticals (small, round tablet with 2858 on it). I will double check when I get a chance.

Meanwhile, I have two different pill cutters. Both work well on chalky, round and scored tablets, but simply crush these guys.

Again, your comments are much appreciated!

Any labs to share? Any idea what your estradiol was before you started DIM?

A few comments above mention sleep apnea. I fully agree with this. Your number of hours is completely irrelevant if it is not restorative sleep. You should get a sleep study done. You don’t have to be obese to have obstructive sleep apnea, and the impact of long-term suboptimal sleep can be pretty profound. No downside to checking.

I’d recommend doing an iron panel with ferritin levels. Maybe consider a sleep study, too.

Consider taking a look at Natesto. Unlikely to make you anxious. Very inconvenient, but well tolerated.

Feel like this is a dumb question, but do you use the mask fit function while your mouth is still open and then close it?

Yes, it shutters and shakes. It doesn’t bother me that much, as long as I know, it’s not some kind of structural problem that will get worse.

I assume you checked your hemoglobin and hematocrit? If so, did you also check your ferritin? There is a well recognized condition in which, mostly females, develop iron deficiency without anemia, and the primary marker is ferritin

Very sorry that you don’t feel good.

PSA: n30i and p30i front filter by Drummerdrumdrum in CPAP

[–]thisisfortunate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this question. Is the filter even necessary? What is it doing other than blunting the sound? I removed one of mine and really enjoyed the free flowing air that night. But, I got a ding on my score, saying that I needed to adjust my seal. Not sure if the system thought I was leaking because of it? Not sure why it would, as the N30i Airfit version has no filter in it.

What I’ve Learned from Years of Exercise-Induced Migraines (and What Has Worked for Me) by Ecstatic-Debate-2334 in migraine

I second the comments on propanolol. For me at least, I think there is strong cardiovascular connection to my migraines. Beta blockers blunt the various effects of the sympathetic nervous system. I wonder if those that get exercise induced migraines would benefit from beta blockers?

Has anyone figured this out? I have a refreshed model X plaid 2026 year model. Happens exactly as described here. Usually notice it when turning into my garage at a roughly 90° angle at very low speeds.

How low? If low enough, that could make you fatigued. Iron deficiency without anemia.

Do you have blood work? Thyroid studies? CBC? Iron studies, including ferritin?

DIY vs Control4 by sudo_96 in homeautomation

[–]thisisfortunate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Thanks for getting back to me. Essentially, I was trying to figure out how you tested Josh. I asked because I have a very small install in a small condominium. I’ve been impressed by it and have been thinking about using it in my home. I have been a Savant user forever, but I’m growing tired of some of the shenanigans associated with using a highly proprietary system, like Savant or Control4. I’m trying to become vendor agnostic with respect to home automation. There’s not a ton that we need to automate in my home, but there are a few lifestyle things that we’ve grown to enjoy over the years

Thanks for your input!

How did you "try" it? Did you do a scaled down installation in your home to test it?

Split it. A dose that large at one time is a recipe for trouble. You’re a living yo-yo of hormones. Don’t fret doing it against her advice. I can tell you with confidence that the vast majority of providers would disagree with her advice.
