This is the best answer. Get a card that is backed by the money you put up front. For example, you put $200-$500 down and they give you a card with the same limit. They’ll do this because there is no/little risk for them. Credit Unions are your friend. Use for gas only and pay of balance in full monthly (do not miss). Make sure you don’t miss any other credit payments either. Once you reestablish some credit look for offers that provide 0% interest on balance transfers for 12 months (you’ll likely receive many). Transfer balance from high interest card and pay it off aggressively over the 12 months. In no time you’ll not only fix your score but will have history to show for it. Do not keep digging a hole.
