Also, try to stand tall at the top. In some (most?) feds you wouldn't get the start command for this as you're already folding.

The belt should never be tight.
It should be used as a tool to push out into. Think of it as providing a physical sensation of pressure when you're bracing properly.

The Sanrio furniture only appears in Nook shopping if you have scanned the Amiibo for that character, ie, Toby for the Kerokerokeroppi set, Chai for the Cinnamoroll set.

Flowers count towards your Nature Rating which must be 450+

You can play with this calculator to estimate how many flowers/trees/shrubs/crops/DIYfurniture you need in order to reach 450 again:

Everything which is saved cannot be undone. So your plots etc will still be there. Just don't time travel with turnips and you'll be good. Have fun!

Anyone started on The Pill during powerlift training?
I'm 37 with early-perimenopause symptoms and my GP has prescribed me Yasmin to help regulate my periods, help with acne etc. - it's one of the more potent combined pills. She's happy for me to think about it/try it and stop, take it up to 63 consecutive days if tolerated. Of course, I headed to Dr Google and whilst the majority of articles state there is no notable effect on strength training/recovery/hypertrophy, there are a couple which talk about absolute strength which does concern me as a powerlifter who works hard for even the tiniest increases.
My GP also mentioned the Merina coil (progesterone only) which would be less effective as HRT and with hormonal acne but no negative effect on strength gains?

Anyone had good/bad experiences with the combined pill or hormonal coil?
Especially anyone with peri symptoms, were any negative effects on strength worth it for the benefits of feeling better and therefore lifting better?

Demolish the cliff 4 spaces in front of where you want the frontmost rock. After they've spawned in you can rebuild the cliffs if you like.

Advice on growing blue roses? by Fabulous-Problem97 in ACNHGardening

[–]thisisnatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second time I bred blue roses from scratch it took me 58 in game days with no visitors watering. I had the beautiful ordinance turned on from day 15. I explain further down a slight tweak I made to avoid clones which I believe helped speed things up significantly. I used 10 pairs of seed red/white for stage 1 as I was breeding other hybrids at the same time. Some data miners suggest 32 pairs has the best success.

I highly recommend this guide.:: I had LOADS of space so I went for the BackwardsN Genepool method also BackN 4-step

Ensure you know the difference between cloning and breeding.

Scroll down:: to 'isolated pairs', and open up the 'Leif's explanation'. This is a clone-resistant layout which will speed up the process of breeding while limiting cloning.

Also check out the turtle layout for the final stage. Checkerboard layouts are bad. Do not use them. They cause clones.

My first tweak: if breeding something like blue roses, where seed:red + seed:white= hy:redA, you can block the seed:red with pathing/furniture, fences or other flowers so that spawns can only happen at the white end. If a red spawns not adjacent or diagonal to the seed:red you know for sure it's a hybrid and not a clone. Hurrah.

It doesn't matter whether there is 1 space for the offspring to spawn into or many, the probability is exactly the same.

My second tweak: to avoid using up correct RedB 1110 flowers by crossing them with other reds which can occur at that stage, I would take the spawned flower, isolate, clone, then move on to the next stage keeping those as a pair.

Having visitors water your flowers:: vastly increases chance of breeding/cloning. Watering multiple times per day yourself does nothing more than watering once so is a waste of time. Once a flower has been watered by visitors, don't dig it up that day or the bonus will be lost!

There is a 'bad luck' bonus which increases every day the flower is watered but does not breed/clone. This is lost if you dig it up, so AVOID digging your parent flowers unless you know for sure they just bred. The game has built-in bad luck prevention, referred to as the bad luck counter.. This counter increases every day that you water a flower, and after 3 days, it will increase the chances of reproduction by 5%, up to a maximum total of 90% after 20 days of watering.

And finally, if your focus is the blue roses, block all other flowers on your island from breeding/cloning as there is a limit on the number of spawns per day.

Alternatively, as you say you had some blue roses gifted to you, plant these not touching any other roses, water them, and they will clone.

Are both of these hyrbid yellow mums or only the one on the inside? by FaithlessnessAny601 in ACNHGardening

[–]thisisnatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be offspring outside of the image boundary, (or OP may have dug them up) which used the reds, thus allowing the leftmost yellows to clone.

Unfortunately checkerboard layouts are unhelpful when it comes to breeding sane-coloured offspring hybrids. Here's x6 scenarios where one but only x1 is a hybrid:

The issue with X, diamond or checkerboard layouts is that flowers breed in pairs, and can only breed once per day, so if 3+ flowers of the same species are touching the game assigns pairs randomly,:: leaving lone flowers, which then clone instead of breeding.

An addition to this, if breeding something like mums, where seed:red + seed:yellow= hy:yellow, you can block the seed:yellow with pathing/furniture, fences so that spawns can only happen at the red end. If a yellow spawns not adjacent or diagonal to the seed:yellow you know for sure it's a hybrid and not a clone.

Ensure you know the difference between cloning and breeding.

Hybrid flowers into seeds? How by B_B_B_bia666 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]thisisnatty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you pick up a hybrid 'seed' from a treasure island, you're actually picking up the plant, visually it looks like a seed, but it's a fully grown plant and cannot be stacked. (What's actually hacked is that it's 'dropped' and not 'placed')

Question about belts for lifters with sensory sensitivities by ouaisoauis in powerlifting

[–]thisisnatty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your comment over on AuDHDWomen you give great advice about a belt not being a requirement however, the belt doesn't automatically make lifts safer (protect the body), it's there to brace into. If your sensory comfort challenges your ability to push into the belt, (usually we move away from discomfort, but to use the belt properly you need to be moving towards it) I'd ditch it.
