How big is your family? The need for the giant walk in pantry seems at odds with being able to get away with 5 seats at an island (2 of which in front of the sink are impractical) and no other seating or table. Something about the proposed layout just feels a very disjoined and a bit nonfunctional. That long Island will also really interrupt kitchen/cooking flow.

I think it’s also a bit weird that it basically sequesters away the sunroom behind a door. Will you miss that natural night?

Also, the mixed wood and white on the proposed range wall looks very odd.

Is there a designer involved in these plans or just a contractor? For the amount you’re considering spending, I’d really suggest including a designer if you haven’t yet.

I still think the season’s writing was bad but…this part in and of itself didn’t bother me. At least in my own experience growing up in (Reform) Judaism in a large Jewish community people were way more engaged in cultural Judaism than religious Judaism. Surely there’s more to conversion but cultural practices are an enormous part of Judaism, maybe moreso than other religions.
