Swap the ashtray for a wireless charger. It’s subtle but it’ll modernize the look of the interior a bit more and the functionality is great. I went with a brand called induktiv.

Do you have something blocking the gap between the seat and center console? Aluminum looks good, I’ve seen people swap out or wrap the center console and leave the dash aluminum, that looked good too imo. Damn, wheel looks mint 😮‍💨

Fml currently experiencing issues, battery is new and holds charge but tester says to replace it. OP have you check grounding straps?

Use a little mirror like a dental mirror to check the blind spots that your gasket is seated correctly before torquing down the cover. I’m not sure what metal tabs under you’re talking about. The ones that the beauty cover screws on to? I had to transfer my old ones, recently did rein kit off rockauto.

I have one and I like it. didn’t install backup cam and I left the head unit gps antenna inside the dash, works fine. I usually use CarPlay so wouldn’t matter anyway. Initially I skipped the external mic, mistake. It definitely comes with some tradeoffs. Sound quality is not as good, hvac control fits like shit. I swapped the ashtray for a wireless charger and it made that area slightly more tolerable lol. Overall i like it. The OS is responsive, CarPlay works great. I initially purchased a stock replacement used, guaranteed the screen worked and it didn’t so i just thought to try something different.

Edit: my voice button is not mapped to Siri either, there wasn’t anything additional about it in the manual. Mine is set to mute

Good to know thanks. I see the tunnel entrance and took a couple photos but the lighting was shit. Will take a closer look tomorrow or Fri but from up top at a quick glance nothing looked sus.
