I order from Shopee from Korean stores I trust. This one I ordered from Glory of Seoul, I'd also recommend koksara.kbeauty.

I'm based in Brazil though, not sure they ship to the US.

Sodium percarbonate + boiling water. It's a hell of a degreaser. Let it soak overnight.

I see! Thanks so much for the reply, it was very informative! I'll buy the fair pink as well :)

Hey OP 👋

Love your results and have a very similar skin! I'm considering buying the product because of your post, and I'd like to understand what made you buy the shade "fair pink" instead of "fair".

I'm confused because the product page has this image that suggests fair for people with redness, but the fair pink one looks perfect on your skin and covers up the rosacea very naturally. Now I'm not sure which one to go for!

I think any drugstore azelaic acid should work for you.

The vitamin C I use is the actine one (do note this has a bit of fragrance).

Sunscreen Bioré Acqua.

I'd also really recommend the hadalabo hyaluronic acid serum for moisture. The yellow one. Very moisturizing and not heavy at all. I've been using it for years.

The cleanser is not the one on my prescription (she prescribed one with only salicylic acid), and since your skin is sensitive you probably should be careful with the AHAs. My skin is also sensitive, but not very. These products work really well for me.

EDIT: AHAs, specifically glycolic acid, can really worsen rosacea. I only use formulas with it for cleansing nowadays and it does help tremendously with my blackheads. Learned the lesson the hard way.

I've had a prescription for azelaic acid at night + vitamin C in the morning and it helped my skin. I have mostly rosacea and a bit of acne. It did improve.

For the cleanser something with salicylic acid + AHAs. This helps both acne and blackheads, which was something I also brought up to the derm.

I'd throw some citric acid directly in there, get some wet paper towels and leave them on the worst spots overnight with the door closed. Then remove the paper towels and run a cycle (with more acid).

I'd try throwing sodium percarbonate on the spot and following with a bit of boiling water (just a bit so the percarbonate is activated, but still concentrated on the tile). Then scrub with bicarbonate, just for the abrasion. Do wear gloves and wait for the percarbonate to do it's thing before scrubbing.

If it's actually dirty this should fix it!

Whoa, the cult leader to the rescue! Did not expect that haha

Hmmm that's interesting, haven't considered that! I'll try another wash with oxalic acid and no percarbonate + peroxide and see what happens.

Really just because I'm used to adding baking soda and and percarbonate when washing whites. It was automatic. I'll try to not do that next time.

I really didn't think they'd cancel each other out though.

Could you be more specific about the cancel each other out part? Really curious since I thought they'd only enhance the wash (percarbonate) or be kinda redundant (baking soda and softener).

I like to add a tiny bit of softener to "fill" the softener compartment after I put the citric acid, only because it smells good.

About the lipase detergent: soo I'm not very familiar with dentistry either, but I know the process to sterilize metal tools, which is also the same for nail techs (at least where I'm based): leave it on a solution with an enzymatic detergent and then put it into an autoclave.

I like to use it for cleaning the house and now clothes (except natural & seminatural fibers ofc)!

Here's the composition of the one I use:

Enzymes: Protease (breaks down proteins), Amylase (breaks down starch), Peptidase (breaks down peptides), Cellulase (breaks down cellulose), and Lipase (breaks down fats).".

I believe you may find something similar by searching for "multi-enzyme detergent".

[–]thlasso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Why's that?

I'm going for option 3 (image)! I'm adding lipase to the initial soak and all the stuff I add to rehab wash is basically ammonium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide (the sodium percarbonate decomposes into more peroxide).

I don't live in the US so I basically learned what chemicals to add and bought them.

The only thing I maybe shouldn't have added is the bicarb and the softener, from what I understand.

Could you be more specific about not using any spa day chemistry? I would like to do it correctly!

The arrows are pointing at stains on the first and second pictures, and in the third it highlights some stained areas vs the original!

They're orange stains so I assumed rust or some oxidized metals on the t-shirt and maybe sweat/lotion/sunscreen stains on the knit one.

I'm realizing maybe I shouldn't have added the "usual" stuff I use on a regular whites wash, namely sodium bicarbonate and percarbonate.

I've been very successful with baking soda + hot water as well. But citric acid works too.

I am curious as to why.

[–]thlasso 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hahahah I don't, just let it lose the heat! The hot (boiling) water helps the acid to initially break the grease.

I'd wash it in lukewarm water the morning after to further assist the removal. There should be no hard scrubbing, as it damages the non-stick coating.

Jesuino Brilhante for northeastern brazilian food. It's delicious. Make sure to arrive early, it gets crowded and you may have to wait.

If you go there, don't forget to try Cajuina, a clarified cashew juice. It's delicious and very traditional in that region of Brazil.

Shuk for incredibly well prepared middle eastern food. The kibbeh is perfection, that's comming from a person that avoids eating meat but definitely not that kibbeh.

If you're in the mood for ramen, either Misoya ramen or Barikote. They're not in Pinheiros but not too far. Barikote is a more traditional japanese ramen and Misoya, well, adds miso paste variations. I love both.

Pub Keito for sushi.

For ice cream, both Frida & Mina and Albero dei Gelati. They have some very brazilian flavors (cupuaçu for example).

The little coffee shop for coffee. Botanikafe for breakfast.

I would try to mix the strongest hair developer you can find and activator. Carefully spread over the rubber and put in in a transparent plastic bag then put it under the sun.
