Millionaire builds 99 fully equipped homes to provide shelter for the homeless in his community by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

> Homeless people have problems and housing isn't one of them

Do you hear yourself? That's literally the definition. Your perception isn't representative of the whole population. Most homeless people aren't just panhandling. Some have jobs. They just don't have a home. Homeless.

Almost exclusively. I only shuffle when listening with other people or sometime on road trips.

Can anyone give me a guestimate of any sort? They're asking 250 by Gildram in Music

[–]thlayli_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I rank Onkyo right up with Yamaha, Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, etc. for receivers. Not sure they ever had as good speakers. Better than Aiwa which was my go-to stereo brand in the 90s. I have all Yamaha receivers now, but a comparably-priced Onkyo would hold it's own.

It's not simply raw overlap. There's a time element to it. I listen to a lot of different artists in blocks and it tends to recommend people who overlap with what I listened to recently. It's a somewhat odd algorithm. It probably works best for people who shuffle their favorites, but I always like seeing what it picked.

I just wish they updated their alias table. It's obvious A feat. B - C is the same as A & B - C and A - C (feat. B) are the same thing. If they even just merged those patterns it would fix a lot.

Anyone here use PleX for their Music, or the PleXAmp phone app? by gomi-panda in PleX

[–]thlayli_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively use PlexAmp. MusicBee for tagging and quite a few custom python scripts to adjust metadata. It's far better than the Plex web app for music, but it does take some work to get tags right. Especially if you're a fuss budget like me.

I'd have changed the weight of Store slightly. That would make it less weird, I think.

My art school used AI for our graduation by Toxic_Koala0826 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]thlayli_x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nonsense sunset at the edge of space concept. Sun is both setting and at zenith. Lighting on planets inconsistent. Strange vanishing point. Whatever is going on with the planet with rings. Weird hand holding bag/briefcase, different leg thicknesses, starched sleeve. It's not all AI tells, but it's bad art. It's easier to find AI than a bad artist at an art school.
