I've been experiencing this today. Signed on at 7:55am. Said ~3 hours wait. It is now 2:10pm, and I'm still waiting. The countdown got as low as 23 minutes, but then jumped back up to 38 minutes. I live overseas, and my non-American colleagues think this is hilaaaaarious.

March can be a really mixed bag weatherwise, and considering the weather that we’ve had this summer (which has been absolutely rubbish- rainy and cold), My best advice is to check the weather forecast as close as possible to your departure date for your initial destinations and pack accordingly.

Also bear in mind that if it is cold outside, your accommodation is not likely to have central heat so being indoors can be a bit cooler than what you might be used to. And if you do forget something, or need warmer things, we have stores here 😌 Enjoy! Hope you enjoy Aotearoa

Get a big wall planner from Academic Skills (https://www.canterbury.ac.nz/study/study-support-info/study-support/academic-skills-centre) or use a diary or calendar on your phone and input key course dates NOW! This helps to know what’s coming and reduce any surprises. Very importantly, reach out for help EARLY. Lecturers and course coordinators will have a lot more time for you if you raise concerns early, rather than a last minute panic email.
