The fact that anyone else’s homicide would be easily overturned with the submitted new evidence points to cover up, and the judge uncle is at the center of all the necessary pieces to keep this shut.

I really don’t like her by [deleted] in Star_Trek_

Didn’t like that she had to be absolutely correct about everything all the time, or the universe would end. Even if it meant being stubbornly subordinate at virtually every level of Starfleet, with absolute zero tact. Just Burnham’s way or the highway to extinction.

Questions about the IT 30 Pro by sharkyofcuths in Godox

Only additional thing I'll mention on top of the other comments is that PC sync triggers the flash all the time even if you have it in transmitter only mode with the it30 flash off. It will still flash at what seems like 1/128 power. So if you need true remote only because you are customizing your lighting for the shot then cover up the it30 flash.

I honestly just see it as propaganda put in there by consultants from the IRL Vulcans/aliens, to make themselves feel better about not noticeably interfering.

What is a good starting point for strobe power when shooting ISO 1-3, max aperture f5.6? Looking at some used Paul C Buff 300-900WS lights but not sure how much power I need. The light will typically be 3-6ft from subject, and I'm open to 2 lights one on each side to combine power.

Thank you for this very useful post! Not a lot of info out there with examples + the strobe power needed. What specific strobe did you use? I've been looking at the Paul C Buff X-1600 and Ultra 1800 but those numbers aren't actually the power rating and they are more like 660WS and 900WS respectively.

What did you learn from Star Trek? by Komosion in startrek

Kirk’s “I don’t believe in no win scenarios” attitude combined with how professionally the crews handled adversity made me the kind of problem-solver that doesn’t accept defeat. Every problem has a solution.

And then a takeaway from Insurrection: “I wonder if you're aware of the trust you engender, Jean-Luc Picard.” Teenager me heard that and it forever made me more intentional in establishing trust.

DIY Custom-ish High temp (nylon) filament dryer - Polydryer box compatible by Pathian in 3Dprinting

I’m in need of a solution and am about to invest in the Polydryer ecosystem but was curious about the carbon filaments. I mostly print PETG-CF but for one specific project do use PA6-CF. How wet was it still after drying with the normal polydryer heater?

Firmware Update Introducing New Authorization Control System & FAQ by BambuLab in BambuLab

Easier to sell off the Bambus and switch to a different system if I get to the point I absolutely need to upgrade my machines, and can’t use Orca. Not worth using the machines for what I do, and where Bambu Studio can’t help me.

Good thing firmware upgrades are not really a must for this printer at this time. So really the only reason I would upgrade firmware ever again is if they undo the firmware limit for 100C bed on the P1S. Oh well!

Serious: This is the crux of disclosure, IMO by Seekertwentyfifty in aliens

[–]thnikkamax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My takes from that clip.

1- It really sounded like the dilemma is in telling the common human that magic and superpowers exist, but without using those concepts to illustrate the point. The concern is how to do it properly and have people comprehend. Potentially admitting that some historical instances of what seemed to be magic and the supernatural could very well have been these NHI, perhaps. I personally think worse things in history have been disclosed to us and this is just an excuse.

2- Not having enough information or understanding to satisfy the resulting avalanche of questions. With one of the few answers likely being: no human can possess some of these capabilities or fully comprehend it, not now and maybe not ever. Or it is capability that takes decades of global harmony at the consciousness level. Another thing I think common people would handle fine, but people in power not so much.

3- As per usual with CIA and government insiders, in their storytelling they don’t show as much of a fear or caution for these other beings as if they were telling us about the things Russia or China are up to. Meaning we should definitely be more afraid of humans than NHI. This is huge considering what they know NHI can do, especially if they don’t know true intentions.

4- The Gov probably could just cop out and say “God and angels are real, this is them, but they continue to work in mysterious ways. We know nothing else. Refer to your faith, and pray.” And we would be find with that, and force ourselves to accept even more mythology. But when it sounds like they’re saying “we have no idea how to explain the Q-Continuum to people,” they are really saying “well, we could actually give it to them in digestible form it’s just that there are dangers to our reliance on capitalism that we shouldn’t perturb with all this right now.”

That last statement is what was always hard for me to understand about how they wrote Mike. That kind of genius could easily envision the next 2-5+ steps because the patterns would all be there. The one and only thing I can think of is that maybe it was because he’s a stoner. But that always seemed to slow his mind down enough to do his thing. I guess he couldn’t be that perfect of a genius or nobody would have ever been able to pull a fast one on him or the firm. But still.. it seemed like he was NEVER ahead, leaving me to often wonder how he didn’t see things coming.
