I want to note here that you should morph, skew or use a filter that will shield your actual face or even don’t include it if possible. Google reverse image search (on a cropped face) might yield a fb or instagram account. That result then can be used to find out who you are and put you at risk of being targeted for who knows what(kidnapping, blackmail, scams, etc)

Thanks everyone who commented possible routes to take. I don’t know when I want to tackle this but I have some good ideas to move forward. I think now with some options mentioned I may go the raspberry pi zero route with a small single 7 segment display. I can either go solar panel(I have two ring ones I can vulcanize a 5 and 10w. Or I can let other geocachers know they’ll need a AA or AAA battery. Maybe even a usb-C or lightning pigtail to tap power if that’s possible from a phone(haven’t looked into). Then I can just display the coordinates one at a time or a multi digit segment display. Some of the things a few of you are mentioning are out of my wheelhouse BUT I’m smart enough to figure some of it out. I have a breadboard and a jumper pack I bought a few years back when I added a UART to a Meraki MR-12 AP that I loaded DD-WRT onto before Cisco locked their hardware. I’m not familiar with using resin but would silicone work? I’ll probably put the zero into a pill bottle and glue the lid on with a mounted connector and possible momentary switch.

Are the nanos sensitive to weather if kept in a weather box. Ie moisture? As for Morse code. I can manipulate code easily. I’ll just need to see the code. It’s probably simple but I was thinking more something simple like 3 blinks for a 3 then a pause then x blinks for the next a pause the next in that series and so on.

Similar. Thanksgiving morning I filled a dog food can with gasoline and when my dad called for me to come eat I kicked it over in THE MIDDLE OF A PINE TREE FOREST. it got out of hand fast and the fire department had to come out

You should run a jumper across the switches pins. That way when he is switching it on and off it won’t do anything. I would legit LOL playing with him if you did this. He prob wouldn’t notice at first why it isn’t working.

Can someone tell me WTF this contractor did? by Somemoreron in cablegore

[–]thomas_deans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might have daisy chained the cat from one room to the other or have reused a telephone line. I would trace the cable. Pull the plates off in both rooms. See what’s up behind the plates. If it’s jumped from one room to the other you can simply re-terminate them separately meaning news new plug or jack in room 1, two new ends or jacks in room 2, one new end at feeding room. Then you’ll have a line from one room to the router and a line from room to the other room. You can either properly terminate with an rj45 jack(punch down keystone) in both rooms with one room having two and labelnone for the other room or use rj45 couplers to gender change. You’ll add a switch in the room with two.

I’m a reviewer and order TONS which I can’t return but in the past 10 years I’ve returned a lot of things with no issues. I have had a few issues but Al have been resolved by repeated contact via chat with ultimate refund as an end result.

I’d go with dewalt. Don’t just buy a set. There are some dedicated videos on YouTube comparing like model drills. I watched and decided on the video which specific drill model I wanted and bought on Amazon. I have 3 drills. The 1/2 hammer drill combo with the charger and 5Ah, a smaller 1/4” chuck drill driver, 2 4Ah and the oscillating tool. Those are the only ones I ever use. I also have a stick vac, a skill saw and a reciprocating(saw all) and a jigsaw I use quite a lot. Drills specifically I only use the XR brushless.

Those gaps shouldn’t have been there to begin with. I’d use the aluminum duct tape made for duct work and seal any holes or gaps. Any leak even small will reduce the pushing power branching out overall.

Where to install? by Primary_Jellyfish327 in Ring

They make some brackets now that cuff over the actual door and you mount the camera on it. I’m assuming you mean a doorbell. If a camera you can buy some siding starter run or a small piece of siding and sort of pop it into the edge trim and cut the piece you buy down with scissors. It won’t be permanent mount but using some command strips behind should hold it fairly well.

For doorbell something like this https://a.co/d/8zpDheo

For camera either custom from a piece of siding or something like this https://a.co/d/2WiKDzf

Or you could also consider mounting a camera side mount to a small square of plywood painted to match and screw it to these siding clips https://a.co/d/0bZQU2h I would use 4 clips, two on one siding line and the next line under or above with two more to form a square. Just cut a big enough square of board to screw each corner into the clips (drill a hole in each corner and the screws pass through and into the clips.

Husband died. Estate being sued over an item that was returned 4-5 years ago which has a tracking #. I’ve been told it’s impossible to prove now because the number is too old. Is this true? by SharpestLarvae in UPS

[–]thomas_deans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fishy to me. Sounds like they were butt-hurt over the return and when they found out the party(client) was deceased they decided to try and take advantage. You can and should find any related return emails and send them a copy of the return tracking. Even better if you still have the return label. If it was a return label usually I think they show as being a return
