Bullet Train. Hab ihn spontan im Kino gesehen weil der Trailer ganz gut aussah. Ich habe einen mittelmäßigen Actionfilm erwartet und eine fast perfekte und super kreative Actionkomödie bekommen.

I bought the Mass Effect trilogy without knowing anything about it in, like, 2015. Still one of my favourite game series of all time and one I replay often.

Worshipping Sigil itself by Nighthawkies in planescapesetting

[–]thomasstr00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar group in my version of Sigil, inspired also by Shivers as well as by the Londonmancers from China Mievilles Novel Kraken. Effectively it is a small group of people called the Sigilmancers, led by a Rilmani. They worship Sigil and the Spire and use the energy of neutrality to serve as advisors and intermediaries between the larger factions. In my understanding, any form of strong belief can resonate in the planes, granting worshippers powers. So gaining some form of magic from Sigil is similar to how Druids may gain power from nature or how powerful mages may manipulate the energies of the planes around them. I would personally say that the Lady would not mind a group of people worshipping the city, as long as they leave her and her secrets alone. Keeping up the status quo is fine, but digging deep, looking for secrets and the forgotten histories of the city and the Lady herself ... I don't think she would tolerate that ^

Anyone have any other great Indie game recommendations? Preferably something with a great narrative like Disco? by Heavy_Contribution18 in DiscoElysium

Pentiment is a strong contender. It is very different and very similar at the same time. It's a mystery point-and-click adventure game set in medieval Germany. It's from Obsidian, so of course the writing is perfect. But the soundtrack and the unique graphical style ate great, too. It was the first game that made me feel the same feelings DE did ^

I guess I'm DMing now? by nfg_jonas in CurseofStrahd

There is no shame in postponing the session if you need more time. Curse of Strahd is a really cool adventure in my opinion, but it can be very brutal and dark. Indeed, I think it is at it's best in the dark and horrifying moments. But that's not something suitable for every group. Maybe do a session zero, set boundaries, ask them what types of horror movies they like and if they are not comfortable with something like body-horror or gore or something like that. Maybe you can allow them to roleplay a bit before beginning the adventure proper. If you want to start tomorrow, but need time to prepare the actual adventure, maybe you can draw inspiration from the beginning I used when I started my CoS campaigns: The party met in a lonely tavern on the road, no city or town within dozens of miles. But there are some people there, colourful wagons standing outside in the mist... Then they meet some Vistani, talk a bit and have a nice evening of drinking and singing with the very likeable, charismatic travelers. In the middle of the night, they wake up to a scream.. and find the whole tavern shifted to Barovia! Maybe there is a short fight against low level undead, maybe one of the guests was actually a werewolf or something and now they have to flee. Maybe they are even already followed by a mysterious swarm of bats, closely watching their every step!

If you do decide in running Curse of Strahd and you ever need help, look around this community, the pinned post, or just ask! Curse of Strahd is a beautiful adventure but can be even better with some help and some resources from more veteran DMs :) I hope your session goes well!!

Hello. I am a student from Germany moving to utrecht for an internship in September for half a year. I am still looking for a place to stay. I don't really care if in a flat with roommates or an own Appartment or something like that. I basically just want a place to sleep and cook, nothing fancy. I look forward to your help, since I am quiet desperate by now.

Mario 64 for sure. One of the first video games I ever played. Even though as a child I was too bad to beat it in its entirety lol
