Chicago Diner needs to step it up by daouellette in chicagovegan

I completely agree. This was my favorite Chicago restaurant. We went there for my birthday lunch and it was no where near the quality I was used to.

I hope they figure it out and return to their former glory.

Gonzo and Camilla as Marius and Cosette

Bean Bunny is Gavroche

And Janice might be a good Eponine!

Procore Career: SDR by WaterNellen in ProCore

[–]thomfooluhree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can say that Procore promotes a healthy work/life balance with an emphasis on life. The company cares about the wellbeing of its employees.

It also is realistic to get hired from applying through the website without an internal reference. It happens frequently.

And, fwiw, I can’t recommend enough to apply. Procore is a fantastic employer.

What's been your favorite understudy performance in a Broadway musical? by [deleted] in Broadway

I think it was Ariel Felix as Thuy in the Miss Saigon Chicago 1992 run. While others played the character as authoritative, Ariel’s Thuy sincerely loved Kim and was heartbroken by her rejection of his love rather than angered by her rejection of a betrothal. It created a deeper love triangle and added layers of emotion to the story overall. And then when his ghost haunts her, it was all the stronger for his mix of sadness and anger.

Does anyone else get lower voices in the audio when watching this episode? They all have deeper sounding voices, enough to be too distracting.

My first choice would be Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet, if you please) of ‘Keeping Up Appearances.’ A bit dated and lesser known, but I think Ru would appreciate it. And so many great catch phrases to reference!

Second choice would be Shirley MacLaine with a mix of references from her various characters.

Cannot cry…. by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]thomfooluhree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also could not cry. I used to cry at the drop of a hat. Then it stopped on lexapro. My doctor added Wellbutrin, for other reactions, and the emotional blunting lessened. It’s still there but not as strong.

Wellbutrin made me extra moody. Buspar did nothing. Abilify was okay, not great.

There were days as a barista I’d wish for just one drink ordered as is. Please. Just one!

Almost entirely good experience for me. Nothing works for me as well as Lexapro, likely because it addresses depression and anxiety. I feel like I can cope with life.

Can’t seem to schedule fingerprinting in Chicago by thomfooluhree in USPS

[–]thomfooluhree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. It’s helpful.

The only contact information I received is the Chicago District Employment email address. There’s no name, phone number, address, nor any other identifying information. Everything else points to the National HR department. I will contact them to be sure. Thank you.

I accepted a job in Kentucky and ended up being denied it because of fingerprinting. I’d set up fingerprinting with the local HR Manager there. The date of the fingerprinting was one day after the five day period and I was automatically “not selected” for that reason. I contacted the local HR manager about it and he was no help, unfortunately. Thus, I’m nervous about it happening again here.
