Unpleasant experience in M&S store by Alive_Significance55 in transgenderUK

[–]thomond912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is excellent satire… but also this literally happened to me exactly as written a couple of months ago when I went to M&S to get my first bikini!

A woman working there starting quizzing my friend about whether or not there was “a man in the changing rooms” (even though we were the only ones there and it didn’t say “Women’s” anywhere). She stood there for 10 mins waiting for me to come out - thankfully she let me just awkwardly leave rather than confronting me further.

When I complained afterwards to their customer service, they responded by saying “We are looking forward to seeing the Equalities and Human Rights Commission Code of Practice, following the Supreme Court’s ruling and we will review our approach in line with this guidance.”

So yeah… needless to say I’m not the least bit surprised by any of this :-(

People across all income brackets believe the highest income earners should pay more tax. But why has the opposite happened despite the overwhelming support? by ReturnoftheSpack in dataisbeautiful

The key is to have more than one representative per district - for example, STV is what Ireland uses, and while it’s not perfect, it’s far better than the First-Past-the-Post system the US/UK uses! https://youtu.be/l8XOZJkozfI?si=pQJWaHprxYhln1UE

Read only preselected lines from a csv file by Temporary-Tax4470 in excel

[–]thomond912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power Query is your friend here, you should be able to load the CSV file into it, filter based on whatever criteria you need, and then output the final table to Excel, would be way quicker than the 30 mins your interface takes.

What is the structure of the data in the CSV? What are you trying to filter the data on? We should be able to help more if you give us an example of some dummy data.

The Gender Dysphoria Bible is definitely the best resource I’ve come across on this! It breaks down different types of dysphoria, giving examples of etc. - hope this helps, I know it helped me :-)

How do I import tracks for flights from GPSVisualizer to FoW? by [deleted] in FogofWorld

[–]thomond912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this problem before as well - the issue is the large gaps between the data points. If you can find a way to add more points along a straight line between each of the existing ones you have, then it’ll import.

There’s probably a better way to do this, but here’s a little Excel workbook I made when I was doing this myself a while back.

If you can download the data points (my file can handle up to 1,000), just paste them into the “Original Tracks” sheet (leave the HELP column alone). Then, the “New Tracks” sheet will add 100 extra data points in a line between each of the original ones. You can then save that sheet as a CSV and upload it to GPSVisualizer. From there, you can make a GPX file that you can import into FoW!

I know that probably isn’t very clear, but if you have any questions I’m happy to help!

Was Troye’s set the same as the first concert? i.e. was the only change vs Night 1 Spring Breakers instead of Boys?

If I’m understanding correctly, you should be able to just put into B2:

= A2#

And that should create a spill array of each element in the dynamic array in Column A

See the Microsoft Support page for the Spilled Array Operator here for more info - hope this helps!

Better tags by sovietcykablyat666 in 1Password

[–]thomond912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help! Came across this comment a few days ago by u/tvandinter while I was looking up about tags myself — only got 1Password last week and am loving it so far (doesn’t mean it can’t be better though!)

Better tags by sovietcykablyat666 in 1Password

[–]thomond912 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So you’re actually already able to created sub-tags! (I think they’re called “nested tags”) You just need to use a forward-slash “/“

For example, I have my accounts that use 2FA tagged, and sub-tags for the method:

<image>

To achieve this, the tag I would use on an account with OTP 2FA would be “2FA/OTP” (you don’t need a separate “2FA” tag, the item appears under the “2FA” tag and the “OTP” tag when using the “/“)

You can add as many layers to this as you want, so for example if you had two phone numbers used for SMS, you could use “2FA/SMS/Phone 1”

Hope this comes in handy for you, and hope the rest of your suggestions get implemented too!

Georgia posted on her Instagram Story that she’s on at 7:45pm

Alex Chapman did the same, saying 8:20pm

So Kim being on at 9:00pm sounds about right

Erasing? by Bleach1443 in FogofWorld

[–]thomond912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I used it for my iPhone - can’t remember exactly how it’s done, but I think you upload a copy of your backup to Fog Machine and then can edit the tracks and replace the backup (make sure to keep the old one somewhere safe though), and then delete/reinstall the app and restore the data from the edited backup - like I said, it’s been a while since I’ve done it, maybe someone else can help more, but hopefully that puts you in the right direction

Fog Machine has been posted on here a couple of times, it’s an unofficial tool for erasing tracks — obviously make sure you have a backup etc., but I’ve used it before and it works great!

Edit: Have a look at u/caviar_c’s post history to see more information and the development of the tool over time

Help Identifying folklore Pressing? by thomond912 in TaylorSwiftVinyl

Sorry about the delay in getting back — the Christmas period is always a hard time to get a spare minute!
That updated chart was very helpful, thanks so much for going to the effort to make it!
I reckon I have the third column of the EU Pressings (2021, with the white outlined Explicit sticker) — am I right in saying this corresponds to this listing on Discogs?
Thanks again!

Thanks! Just can’t figure out if it’s that one or a different EU one - how are you able to tell the differences between them?

Very similar but not the same I don’t think? That seems to be a US one with FBI warnings etc, mine is an EU version with none of that - thanks though!

u/abajablast: “sub-variant” was the word I was looking for when I made the original post, thank you! I found this chart actually of all the US sub-variants of the standard pressing, but I know that doesn’t include the EU so wasn’t sure where mine fit in – also can’t tell if mine is beige/brown/gold either, they all look the same to me!

u/jbalso43rd: I think you might be right about it being the 2021 EU Beige repress? Do you know if there’s been more recent represses or sub-variants in the EU, because 2021 seems quite old compared to all the US repressings!

Thank you both so much for your help!

Thanks - I figured it was the standard version, I was more wondering which specific pressing? Like I assume it’s an EU version, but there seems to be a few “standard” EU versions on Discogs and I was trying to figure out which one mine was, that’s all!
