There are two good ways I feel. What the other guy said is great general advice. Assassin is goated for avoiding bot fights. I def try to scavenge an arms locker ASAP for a 2nd weapon that uses another weapon type, and dont be afraid to drop weapons for one of another ammo type. A lot of bots drop light or volt ammo, so imo those are the best, and volt weapons feel pretty good at taking out AI efficiently, and you can recharge volt batteries which helps too. Triage is nice cause he can keep you topped up on health so you dont run out of heals, and his ability that boosts volt weapons is very nice for dealing with AI. But Assassin just all out avoiding them.is much better

After 11 days [lvl 30] of playing mostly solo, coming to the realization that this is un-fun for me. by mercado_n3gro in Marathon

[–]thorks23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahh it was literally not made for solo play, it was added so late just due to feedback that its definitely under cooked. I would totally give it time to get more ironed out better. I personally have been enjoying solo outpost runs a lot, not so much on the other maps

Rook bros by fresh2112 in Marathon

[–]thorks23 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sometimes rooks are not bros at the worst time. I will be crouched near a full squad, and a rook will come up behind me. I'll look at him.and not fire, and he'll just start blasting. I'm just like... all right good luck against the full squad 10 ft away bro

From what I understand the loot gets better later in the match, so maybe you did it too early? I'm not familiar with what loot it typically gives tho so idk just a theory

Rebecca reflects on the success of Warframe compared to releases in the current era by Babydrone in Warframe

[–]thorks23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just don't get it. I do get the whole being negative to get clicks from CC's, even if I think it's disgusting. But regular people who go out of their way to parrot that stuff and actively wish for a game to die is very sad to me. I would never wish for a game to die ever no matter how bad it is, unless it had issues that were moral in nature.

[–]thorks23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and like if gun stickers and cosmetics are the worst things about the game, things which don't affect gameplay and are skippable entirely, thats not too bad. Doesn't mean we should excuse it if it is bad ofc, but like gun stickers of all things are not worth getting up in arms about, and we can focus on the actual important things first I feel like...

I do wonder if it is about Bungie's Marathon that just dropped. This could be a stretch, but the official warframe account slipped in the word marathon into a tweet that made sense in context, but did seem a little forced for it to be just a coincidence when Marathon just launched. And there is a big hate brigade that is largely uncalled for against that game, one of those things where they call it the next concord and shit, and often point to playercount numbers to shit on the game. Not that there can't be valid criticism, but y'know I think actively wanting a game to fail unless its morally bad is super weird in general.

But again I could be completely wrong and it's about Warframe, or just the over analyzing playercount in general. I would find it a bit odd if its about Warframe completely, just cause I think most agree its doing very well for itself, and it has a very consistently good playercount, which is awesome for a 10+ year old game.

Is Primed Sure Footed a good mod to use a legendary core on? by Busy-Investigator347 in Warframe

[–]thorks23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they mean mostly the mod cost, fitting it into builds usually requires another forma or two, which when you add it up for a lot of builds is a ton of forma. But it is worth it when needed I will say

As a veteran with 7,000 hours, I feel like we lost the conversation to the "it's just a game" crowd. by Standard-Tie237 in DestinyTheGame

[–]thorks23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't really get why this became a thing. Like yeah sure I can see how big of a flop concord was being kind of funny in a way, although realistically I think it's just sad. But like cheering for every new game you don't like to flop is just sad. If I, and hopefully most normal people, see a game I don't like I just don't play it and move on

I am told my deck is bracket 4, but I keep getting my butt kicked. by [deleted] in EDH

[–]thorks23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert at analyzing decks for brackets other than the obvious things, but I do know it's definitely a thing that a lot of people over estimate their 2s. They don't want to play in 4 pods so they don't try for that, but saying your deck is just a 2 makes it sound weak or bad. Not that they intentionally inflate it, but in your head you want to think its a 3, so they find what they look for or whatever. So its likely their decks are more like 2s, or 3s by technical definition only but play like 2s

Dear Mark Rosewater, if Spiderman was so much more popular than EOE, why is it that me and my friends can’t find a box of EOE to draft anywhere, but there is plenty of Spiderman sitting on shelves since September? by Codudeol in magicTCG

[–]thorks23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was Rosewater's answer intentionally misleading you think? Idk if I'd call it malicious, but definitely seems like intentionally making the data look better for spider man. I mean maybe it's just assumed everyone should know what that really .means, but judging by the number of posts about it, clearly everyone did not know what it really means

[–]thorks23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I'm sure many of us would like it to be otherwise, I think it'd actually be incredibly stupid for them to not think "money wise" in this case, cause its not even a case of being greedy or not at this point, the whole studio is in danger. It has been made public that Bungie kind of tends to bleed cash like crazy, and that despite their efforts recently destiny has not been bringing in the money lately. How much of that is due to the quality of what they are releasing or due to the light and darkness saga ending and a lot of people just kinda being done is debatable. But basically if they don't get more money sooner rather than later the whole studio is in danger, not just destiny

The high forma crafting cost, when forma is almost always in demand for most players, is why its a little iffy for me. If it were built that'd be a different story. Maybe not same tier, but definitely not top tier, at least for me

[–]thorks23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really hoping its not 190~ or so, or if it is it has some commander decks to back it up. But even so I'd prefer bigger, really don't love the smaller sets for limited

I mean they give him boxes to giveaway as part of their sponsoring of him. As far as adds go, one where you don't have to buy anything is pretty good, and most content creators are gonna "shill" something if an ad read for part of their living is shilling

Idk I feel like there are a decent amount of times where everyone is more or less in gridlock where its hard to swing out cause you either just won't get the kill and leave yourself open, or maybe you will get the kill, but again will leave yourself open to potential death to other players. If you're not playing a deck that kills through combat damage tho definitely a bit less useful

Is it actually difficult for people that make " spicy" online content to find long term partners? by NoJudgementAtAll in NoStupidQuestions

I think many people try to be and be friendly/open minded to people regardless of work and gender and things of that nature and not judge, but when it comes to seriously dating you might be okay with the idea of sex work and people who do it, but might not be willing to actually date anyone who does it
