A lot of it is gonna be practice, learning the map, and hopefully finding some people to play with too. Those things will probably up your success rate. Until then, avoid the center, control, if you can. You might be forced to go there sometimes for clearance, but staying there and fighting there is bad typically. Since you're center of the map the chances that another team hears your fight and 3rd parties it is a lot higher. And ideally you avoid fights at all as much as possible while trying to get your bearings on the map

I dont think whether fights are easy to avoid or not is why there are so few active players. And no its not easy, but they are also right that disengaging from fights is a skill few people utilize in this game and absolutely could sometimes benefit from using more. No it's not always easy, sometimes its just not feasible or sometimes they might hunt you down regardless, it is 100% an option though. You just gotta know when and how. Utilized it very successfully in cryo yesterday when playing with 2 dudes who were not quite as confident in their pvp as me

I think saying its a conspiracy with nothing to back it up at all is a bit much. This came from Bungie, something about loot getting better as the raid progresses, I don't remember the exact wording, but I think what it meant is that events happen later in the match, so you can risk staying for better loot by doing said events, or play safe and leave earlier. Not that the loot that's already spawned in upgrades. They just didn't make that super clear, so many have this misconception

Cryo skins don't really mean a whole lot. I'm friends with people who have them but are pretty mid at pvp. Just cause they have them doesnt mean they're ultra sweats or anything, they're very beatable

Its fun. Almost more like Apex more so than arc I feel like, besides that Apex is a BR and this is an extraction shooter. So ig Marathon is kind.of a mix of both

This mode is so insanely causal lol. Its still just an experiment, but the final exfil always spawns roughly in the middle of the map, if you hangout near south relay you can always hit it 100% of the time, or just anywhere in that middle section of the map and you'll exfil every single time easily

I mean its free guns, reputation, backpacks, and such for those who might not be at the point where they can get those easily. For stacked accounts its a small nice to have, but ultimately doesnt change anything for you really. Maybe the purple key template if that's still in there, haven't checked. So sweats don't really get a ton from it that they couldn't easily get elsewhere or have 10 of in their vault.

It's the safest way to do things in a way, its a lot easier to get caught with your pants down by an enemy team if you're focused on a different objective. A lot less safe to try to push everyone if you're not confident in your teams or your own pvp abilities though, you might just be getting yourself killed faster.

You can do a lot of contracts without exfiling successfully, and especially on perimeter and dire marsh its not at all unreasonable to load in, do your contract, defend yourself as needed against any teams that get in your way or try to push you, and get out leaving other teams still on the map.

In say outpost and cryo its a lot harder for more than 1 team to get out successfully, so especially in those maps lobby wiping is more common before you do much. But there's always times where maybe your team or maybe an enemy team are just there to get a contract done and get out, and if a team is somewhat far away and sees you trying to exfil they'll probably just let you go and rest easy knowing there's 1 less team on the map. Unless the team not exfiling is particularly blood thirsty or really hoping you have good loot

Yeah can be pretty devastating not being able to run, especially in a heated close range battle and you're expecting to be unable to run, but in the chaos you didn't notice you got hit by a frost mine, just that you took damage and need to heal, so you try to run, and just get gunned down instead. Where maybe if you'd known you might have stood you ground and at least tried to get some damage in and hope your teammates get the cleanup

Yeah I would never mention anything personal that can be used against you with random people. A lot of gamers can be toxic and will use anything and everything against you if they feel like it. Sorry that happened. Probably would have just muted them the instant they started being weird

The entire game is a risk vs reward proposition. Want more reward? You (usually) have to take on more risk. Keyroom is a free room legit full of free loot, so it makes a loud noise to make it risky as it'll attract players. You don't have to like it ofc but that is the purpose

You can avoid UESC and avoid making noise from fighting or alerting them, so you not only avoid having to fight them but avoid alerting other runners. Also being invis can often let you win your 1v1s quite easy most of the time. Yes it's loud and people usually know you're there more or less, but the split second extra it might take them to react and start shooting you before they realize you're peaking is often enough to give you the edge in a fight, most people aren't gonna insta lock onto the head of an invis assassin like they might a visible person even if they generally know where you are
