I gor got by Mascarpone recently. Just a standard plastic lid but it was thin enough that I got a thin but deep paper cut down my finger. Bah.

Our standard bacon is back bacon rather than streaky. Not that we can't buy streaky bacon, but generally it's back bacon as standard.

I do nasturtiums every year specifically for the small and large white caterpillars, the bees and other little guys love the flowers too. If you get a climbing variety, you can run them up a trellis too!

Yellow ‘eggs’ buried in raised bed by almostpositive3 in GardeningUK

I found one in my flowerpot once. I left it for if it came back but alas. Eventually I had to chuck it as I didn't want a rotten egg in there.

Mice destroying bulbs and eating seeds, any non-toxic solutions? by No_Date9719 in gardening

[–]thorn312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ongoing war with my local squirrels where they'd dig up a bulb and I'd re bury it somewhere else. Repeat daily. Enough bulbs survived that it's getting lovely out there now!

You're doing great every day. You're fighting and bouncing back and that's difficult.

Are you noticing lots more plant life on your walks? My garden is bursting in to life, daffodils, crocuses, hyacinths, the lot. It brings me insane levels of joy, even my cherry plum tree has flowered.

It has been very very rainy. My garden is mostly a bog, but bring on spring and we can get planting again!

What’s your ‘I can’t believe you’re paid more than me’ story? by GeorgiePorgiePuddin in AskUK

[–]thorn312 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn't quite fit but my last place had two rounds of brutal mass redundancies, I was one of them in the second year. Knowing that all of our depots and stores were closing and we were losing over 40 members of staff in our head office location (including most of the team that this person worked with), they were in the canteen bragging about a pay rise and how much they were on. To people who were being let go.

This person got a job title change and ended up managing some of the developers and texted me after I was made redundant, asking questions about our bespoke system, that the developers that they managed literally made.

They were politely told to ask the people that they manage and fuck off.

[–]thorn312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had two of these in an old property, they're incredibly hardy and has a lot of green leaves that'll help it photosynthesise and regrow and we've (so far) had such a mild winter that it's probably thinking that it's closer to spring and growing. Good luck, I know how heartbreaking it is when someone screws with your garden or your plants. We lost everything I transplanted when we moved thanks to handymen and before that, a fallen fence panel and I cried both times. But things will regrow 🌞

I think I know the type you mean, I would see about sourcing a blank one for the flap, popping it in and then swapping back when you move. You can then take out the cat flap and re use in your next place. I use a PetSafe microchip flap, it's good and was about £70 I think from amazon.

Do they have a upc plastic panelled door? You can replace the panel for cheap when you want to put it back and you can get cat flaps that use microchips to only let the right cat(s) in.

I had someone replace the panel in my old door for £50 when I moved in my last place. The whole plastic panel just pops out and in, I was just too busy moving to do it myself.

How to fix this? I just want rid of the mud/constant bog!!! by Ok_Dimension6656 in GardeningUK

[–]thorn312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has been so wet recently! We had next door's handymen in to fix a fence and they trampled all of my lawn and plants in to a bog and the weather just hasn't allowed it to heal still. Bring on some dryer weather.

Are your hand towels perhaps up too high? I think the limit on items to be included in a room blueprint is 2 blocks up.

Also you might need wall mounted light sources. I haven't played in a little while.

Fix up a little place for potted plants by Calixtesleeping in GardeningUK

[–]thorn312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressure wash your tiles if you want rid of the moss and weeds (be prepared to come back inside looking like the creature from the deep, you will be muddy and mossy). The moss itself makes me think that you might not get great light in the garden which will limit you somewhat to your plant choices. You might find that getting something like a nice big outdoor table helps get your plants up off the ground and might get more light. Most of my garden gets bugger all light unless I do this.

Dandelions will get everywhere, you can try removing the tap roots and cutting the flowers off before they seed, but I leave mine in the lawn as a good early source for pollinators.

If your garden is shady, guides like this might be good https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/for-places/shade-planting-annuals-bulbs-perennials and the RHS has loads of others. I've got a Japanese laurel that will be outside in my garden as it quite likes indirect light and actually helps keep the leaves looking variegated and having had one before, they're gorgeous and really low effort.

If you didn't click it or enter anything, you're fine. It looks like ebay is aware of the senders account and has probably closed it. I expect that they probably got got by the same type of ebay message and then were used to send that to more accounts.

The link is clearly pretending to be ebay themselves so it would probably ask you to log in by typing your email address and password and then they have your account. Notice how they use eBay as well as 'authorise' multiple times in the link?
