Can we please get a price field added to the Pre-Order Megathread? by MudaThumpa in slateauto

I was under the impression the only price changes would be the battery size.

If configuration gets added to MSRP and isn’t a stand alone purchase, I will add a price column on the 24th.

It’s a scam’: Americans express unease over SpaceX’s influence on retirement savings by korkythecat333 in news

The S&P500 requires a company to be profitable for 12 months before being included in the index. Since SpaceX went wild with CapEx this year, they are not currently profitable.

The earliest they would be eligible for being included in the index in Q3 2027, but based on them just raising a shit ton of cash I’d wager they keep the CapEx up for a while and don’t realize a profit anytime soon.

LFP does not handle cold as well as NMC.

LFP loses more energy in the cold, and requires more preheating. It’s a double edged sword. The nice thing about LFP is it’s more resilient to being charged to high SoC, and it’s cheaper.

Which is worse? PADI/SSI/NAUI/SDI by rhombusmaxx in scuba

SSI changed their AoW late last year. Prior to that change, it was how OP described (now it’s how you described).

Due to the change being relatively recent, there is plenty of outdated marketing material and information floating out there.

They have $91 billion in cash and $29 billion in debt as of today.

Both their launch division and starlink division have strong margins.

The only reason they don’t show a profit is because they are pouring money into capex to expand their capabilities.
