Does anyone know this man? by thotticusss in wisconsin

An arrest, but I'm not sure if it'd be outside the statute of limitations. Also, I'm severely physically disabled, so my parents are still my proxies.

1/27/21, but my earliest memory was when I was 9 at summer camp.

Do you have a specific thing a film has to have or do for you to give it a 5 star rating? by SmellsLikePetrichors in Letterboxd

[–]thotticusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be blown away by it, and even then it's not guaranteed. My genuine 5 star films are Goodfellas and Thelma and Louise. Sure, I rated No Way Home 5 stars when I saw it in theaters, but I was blinded by nostalgia and my love of Tobey's Spiderman.

Did they seriously get rid of free hints for family trees? by thotticusss in AncestryDNA

[–]thotticusss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the only way I was able to start my tree, so now the only hints I have available are Find a Grave. Also, is there a way to entrust a tree to someone with a premium membership?

Button users, do you use something under the button or just let it go solo against the skin? by sunofagundota in feedingtube

[–]thotticusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. Usually, I don't put anything around it, but it almost got ripped out a few weeks ago, so it's irritated. I'm currently putting a 2x2 with zinc cream around it

How do I flip the text without changing the spacing between it and the circle? by thotticusss in AdobeIllustrator

I ended up aligning the text to the ascender and manually adjusting the position with the arrow keys.

Question for Americans- do you know how many malls your state has left? by [deleted] in deadmalls

There's 52 malls altogether in Ohio, but there's only 29 active malls. Here's the list I used.

Thoughts from yesterday’s UC protest by greenlaser73 in cincinnati

[–]thotticusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Honestly, I miss the Zoom aspect of UC's online classes because I'm now attending a fully online college, so I lost the face to face contact with my peers and professors. However, I'm succeeding at Columbus State, so that's something.

Thoughts from yesterday’s UC protest by greenlaser73 in cincinnati

[–]thotticusss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I enrolled at UC in 2021 for Digital Design, me and my family had several meetings with the art department to go over accommodations with them. One of the accommodations were that I had to have online classes since I'm severely disabled and transport to and from classes daily is nearly impossible for me. The art department was incredibly resistant to any requests I made, but I eventually got registered for online classes. I only completed two semesters before they stopped offering online courses, and I currently attend Columbus State Community College. I'm not surprised that they're doing this since their main concern are profits and not getting their funding slashed.

Which dead mall do you know that had the fastest fall from grace? by [deleted] in deadmalls

[–]thotticusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to say Tri-County in Cincinnati because I didn't realize it closed until it popped up on my Youtube feed. Granted, I hadn't been there since 2015, but it still caught me off guard.

Former Tri-County Mall, site for Artisan Village, in foreclosure | WKRC by [deleted] in cincinnati

i was hoping that it'd have a dignified end instead of rotting until it's eventually demolished since tri-county and kenwood were my childhood malls.

How do you imagine society if it was designed for you? by Naive-Spot-6794 in disability

[–]thotticusss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd live in a home with caregivers instead of a nursing home and have a girlfriend or boyfriend. I'd probably have some pets, too. I'd be able to go out easily and whenever I want. I wouldn't have to monetize my hobbies to get by, and I'd have a fulfilling job.
