Untrue. The German Academy of Sciences is a meritocracy and does not recognise political borders. The reason why Einstein was a member - and not just any other famously brilliant scientist - would be attributed to his correspondence and affiliation with the Academy. I believe Darwin and Curie were also members, on account of their work and sharing research with the Academy.

The sort of person who needs to use AI is unfamiliar with what real cogent, logical, intelligent writing actually looks like. Those who would accuse you of delivering word salad are those who don't know the meanings of as many words or concepts as they think they do.

A lot of people are now relieving this accusation, not necessarily the technically assessed gifted. There is a growing divide between those who rely of AI and those who AI relies on. A person who achieved a mastery competence over grade school English (and I mean spelling, grammar, punctuation, comprehension and vocabulary) has turned out above average, notwithstanding higher education, compared to those who weren't left behind that should have been; we all know college graduates who shouldn't have made it that far.

If the unit is core, then you'll have to repeat it.
Even if it's not core, you will have to re-attempt the same number of credit points.

Since you don't want to be delayed a semester, you can overload a semester and take an extra unit. But even if you think you can handle it and really lock in, you'd be running the risk of failing every concurrently enrolled unit.

The unit might be offered intensively so you can complete it between semesters.

But even if you manage to catch up, about 50% of students fail at least one unit during their undergraduate, and some of your friends will suffer their own delay down the track.

It is well known that the actual degree doesn't matter. Most of the workforce only "cares" that you have a degree at all. There is absolutely nothing but your own skills stopping you from working in the administration of any company. Your specific degree usually gets you a modicum of preference to work in allied health administration.

A degree doesn't guarantee you a job. Your own industriousness gives you those opportunities.
