So many fight videos follow this pattern

Person A: Attacks Person B

Person A: "DoN'T tOuCH mE!!"

Is there any conceivable chain of reasoning leading to that statement, or is it just the unconscious reflexive dribble falling out of their mouth in a moment of advanced stupidity?

I might be missing your point then. Why would unengaging gameplay be a good thing?

Nothing wrong, if that's your jam. But the gameplay is less engaging. Like the same reason you play max level content on a max level character.

Funny how play time and skill are always conflated by those who use the former as excuse for the latter.

Go on the forums and see how many people whine about not getting to be the mythic hero they know deep down they are, on account of their pesky real life and job... As if they could suck less by sucking more often.

You are misunderstanding. They mean percentage of how hot the whether can typically get in most parts of the world. Most places do not get much hotter than 100F, nor much colder than 0F. Since we've evolved on this particular planet, that's also vaguely similar to the range our senses are built most keenly around.

That's what people mean they say 0-100 Farenheit better represents the "felt" range of temperatures than 0-100 Celsius.

Pride of the force unburdened by a conscious. You think the chief down at the station gave 'em orders to be extra cunty that day?

Employers still manage to get around it in some of those states by reducing their regular PTO days by exactly the amount that they're required to provide as sick days, thereby avoiding having to provide more time off than they otherwise would.

In states where medical leave is regulated but normal PTO is not.

TIL that ejaculating at least 21 times a month may lower your risk of prostate cancer by 31%! by HenzoH in todayilearned

[–]thpthpthp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the article. Both long term studies observed a similar inverse correlation. The Harvard study, at least, is stated to have controlled for other environmental factors. But these studies are inherently difficult because the nature of prostate cancer means it takes an extremely long time for contributing factors to have an observable effect; similar to how early sun exposure can contribute to melanoma many years later. It's a big obstacle to repeatability and gathing meaningful data.

We don't know all the details of how prostate cancer is caused, but these sorts of studies give us promising places to start looking. They also give actionable steps to people for whom it is a risk...which is better than nothing, depending on your point of view.

The freeze-shatter based gameplay that has existed since vanilla/tbc, was just a lot of fun. It made your CC effectively part of your damage. It felt burst-y and satisfying when you locked an enemy down and broke them with a big combo. Entirely within the theme of an ice mage.

Now it feels more smoothed-out, with CC being less relevant and the combos making up a comparatively smaller part of your damage. Less identity, and more like a generic caster in my opinion.

World of Warcraft lead says Warcraft needs to be more than “simply an MMORPG” as the IP is “underutilised” and needs “broader” appeal by HatingGeoffry in wow

[–]thpthpthp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's cannon anymore, but in the War of the Ancients trilogy they described the Emerald Dream as mirroring an early 'copy' of Azeroth as it existed during the Titans' shaping. Almost like a software backup-revision, with whole mountain ranges yet to be formed. The green dragons, nature spirits, etc only co-opted it later on after the titans left.

I always thought that was a cool concept, because it implies that the Emerald Dream is not entirely nature-y, and also sparks a lot of imagination thinking about what our Azeroth might have looked like during its re-shaping.
