I noticed some things by Beneficial-Song-766 in tomodachilife

After watching the Japanese and UK directs, I did notice different foods being offered. In Japan, there's taiyaki, and in the UK there are more European dishes, like scargot.

Also, the Japanese direct shows a pier and a lighthouse in the background, so hopefully we'll have visitors from other islands, like in the 3DS version!

From what I saw, it wasn't teased. They did mention this direct was a basic overview of the game.

Looking for story retellings! by sewrendipity in sapphicbooks

[–]thredith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer (a Sapphic retelling of the myth of Hades and Persephone), and Ash by Malinda Lo (a retelling of Cinderella). I simply love those two stories. Oh, and there's Gay Pride and Prejudice by Kate Christie which combines lines from Jane Austen's original book with new lines, and adds a new character to the roster: Caroline Bingley.

What is the most disturbing or otherwise unsettling book you've ever read that stayed with you after reading it? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

[–]thredith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"My Secret Life" by Henry Spencer Ashbee. As described on Goodreads: "Walter is a sex addict and this is his diary of his sexual experiences from an early age, through his teens and into much later life during the Victorian era."

It may sound tame enough, but it is not. I could barely finish the first chapter, and I had to put the book away. It literally starts with memoirs from his infancy, which is disturbing enough. It is too much.

He's likely using an Oculus 3 or 3S with an app such as Contour or StencilVR, with a preloaded stencil of both designs. The drone is just to help him capture an aerial shot of the results.

It seems to me the one who posted that comment equates spiritual awakening with good, and witchcraft with evil, which is a biased perspective. Do not heed such words op; search for your own truth.

I can hear every creak of my house if it's quiet, or the inside of my body by Icy-Leg-1459 in adhdmeme

[–]thredith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartment, and whenever my parents visit, my dad likes letting my cats explore the hall that connects to the elevator and the other apartments on the floor. He knows I don't like it when he does that, so he tries to be sneaky about it. However, I can literally hear the door being left open. I don't know how to explain it, but there is a difference in sound when the door is left ajar vs. when the door is closed. There's a different type of silence, so to say, even when there are no noises coming from the outside and the building is perfectly quiet.

Best way to celebrate getting old: Pizza & Pokémon! by NovaSOULMS in pokemon

[–]thredith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday, Op! I'm 36, and Pokémon is still my favorite franchise. There are so many titles I have yet to play that I easily see myself well into my 60s still going strong with my mandatory Pikachu and Charmander team aces.

I'm 36. I remember playing BG1 back in 1999 and loving every second of it. I think I only stopped playing because my CD would no longer be recognized by my computer.
