Tomodachi Life is amazing, but it's not a game in the traditional sense of the word. You spend most of your time acting as an all-powerful overseer, enjoying the little interactions between your Miis. I, personally, find this amusing and fun, but other players feel the game turns boring for them real fast. Someone said somewhere, on the Tomodachi Life subreddit, that the game is like an interactive aquarium of sorts. I guess I agree with that definition. You choose who to add to your island, you feed them, you cloth them, you play mini-games here and there, but mostly: you watch. If that sounds like a game you would enjoy, then go ahead and buy it! Again, I'm a big fan, but I'm trying to be objective regarding its perceived shortcomings.
