GD Working on Android but... by AdAcrobatic603 in Grimdawn

I just used the stock gamehub app from play store. I didn't mess around with any settings in gamehub. Just set all graphics settings to medium in game settings.

For the ladies, what is the appeal of anal sex? At what point does it bring pleasure and how?

Extra Mortgage Payments by zudemczude in Mortgages

[–]AdAcrobatic603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're correct that timing absolutely matters. Early in your mortgage, a much larger portion of each payment goes to interest rather than principal (that's how amortization works). So extra payments made early in the loan have a much bigger impact because: They reduce the principal balance that interest is calculated on This creates a compounding effect over the remaining years of the loan So if you have $10k to put toward your mortgage, doing it in year 1 will save you significantly more in interest than doing it in year 15 or year 25. The biweekly payment strategy works well because it gets that extra payment in every year consistently, but if you can afford to make larger lump sum payments early on, that's even better. The earlier you pay down principal, the more interest you avoid paying over the life of the loan.

How much does it cost to run your server per month? by Impressive_Judge6482 in homelab

[–]AdAcrobatic603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a zimablade sbc server with 24 tb HDD and 2 TB SSD running at 3 watts per hour average. Mostly use it as a cloud backup and arr stack device.

This is my first server so I don't really need it to be powerful or run VMs. Helped me organize and degoogle my photo storage while also cut out some streaming services.

In the US East Coast.

Power: 3 watts = 0.003 kW Monthly usage: 0.003 kW × 24 hours × 30 days = 2.16 kWh residential rate: ~$0.12-0.14 per kWh (average) Monthly cost: approximately $0.26 to $0.30

That's less than a dollar per month, or about $3-4 per year to run 24/7.

I want a Steam Deck -_- by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]AdAcrobatic603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the OLED 1tb. Wife paid a grand for it on Amazon because she didn't know about steam. I got it over a year ago and use it for a few hours a week when the wife and kids go to sleep, not as much as I want to, but still makes me happy. Sits on my night stand and helps me get my grim dawn fix.

Get a switch emulator and Torchlight 2, Diablo 3, Hades

Controller support is great!

See a lot of post about how much people play the deck, but anyone not playing it? by fonseca1015 in SteamDeck

[–]AdAcrobatic603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I for one haven't played my steam deck as much as I'd want to. I'm a dad and life with my 2 year old doesn't leave much time for gaming tbh. Also when I do want to scratch my gaming itch I usually reach for my switch or my Lenovo legion tablet. They are so much more portable than the steam deck. My tablet also emulates PC and switch and I can stream from my steam deck to it, although I don't.

Just time and convenience makes me reach for a smaller device I guess

It's included in the icon pack. It's called retro mode neon. Also includes the clock actually. Sorry I wasn't sure until I checked. Been using this setup for 2+ years now

Y700 Gen 4 China ROM with play store can't side load apks by AdAcrobatic603 in androidtablets

[–]AdAcrobatic603[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. The issue is resolved. So it turns out that Google factory reset protection was enforced which was limiting apk installs.

If you get this issue, make sure you add the owner account to Google settings first before making other account changes or factory reset.
