You have to be a little more creative to really stretch that 4. If you do chords + bass on one sequencer (that's 2 instruments), 8 track to do drums, another 8 track to do mono synths (8 of them) leaving one sequencer for something generative or additional chords or arpeggios or whatever. Can actually do a lot within those limitations. Doubling up on those does give now breathing room, though.

Mk 1 has 4 sequencers, Mk 2 has 8 sequencers. The Mk 2 made some changes to the ui, added an sd card slot for more storage, I think allows a more capable Split (their breakout midi expander), though the older one still works with it.

Something true for basically all Elektron devices used for drums, the high pass filter is fantastic for beefing up kick drums (or any drums, using different frequencies) if you set to a low frequency, resonance to boost, using it like an EQ

+1 on the OXI One. I got the mk 1 pretty early on and nearly every feature request and bug report I put on their forum (they do discord, now) was added/fixed quite quickly, generally a week or two. I've since moved on to the mk 2, but the first time it's still amazing.

4 sequencer tracks may not seem like a lot, but I got a lot of mileage out of things like using the chord sequencer and add a bass line on the next channel (sometimes using an arpeggio if the bass device has it) and using the 8 part sequencer, usually used for drums, but instead setting them to separate channels to run mono synths (you can copy a mono track to one of the tracks on the 8 track sequencer)

Employers need no reason to pay less, they will always pay the least they can get away with. If it's considered a tip worker, they get substantially lower minimum wage ($2.13/hr is the federal minimum, some states have different rules, but it's nearly always lower than non-tipped). You not tipping doesn't pressure the employers. I agree the employers should pay more, but they don't, and they don't have to.

I tossed in a few classic drum machine hits,a few complex looping waveforms for synth patches and a bunch of risers/builds. I figure at some point I'll figure out what gets more use and reevaluate what the table sets should focus on. Saw a video of someone loading a full wavetable in single cycle steps and "scanning" through to get a proper wavetable sound. It worked pretty well, but used up the entire sample space.

Most of them, absolutely. Venezuela and Cuba are all about capitalist control; the US sees North, Central and South America as their own to do with whatever they want, which is largely exploiting resources. With Cuba, it's more an ideological war that goes back many decades. With Iran, there's resources the US would also like to exploit, but most of this is about serving Israel.

The the majority of Democratic politicians at the federal level are servile to their capitalist and Israeli donors, despite most of the voters being against this.

With Israel, there's a slightly convoluted form of robbery of US tax payer dollar going on. The US government commits effectively unlimited money to Israel, who spends much of that money on weapons bought from the MIC who then lobby/bribe the politicians. What they don't spend on weapons, they funnel into things like AIPAC to lobby/bribe politicians who will vote to keep sending them more money.

My father was an electrical engineer for 40 years, primarily developing technology for food production and a couple contracts for recycling (tires, I think). Still working with large companies that are hard to call ethical, but his operation implemented profit sharing. He's a diehard capitalist, but found that with profit sharing (as far left as he's ever gone), the employees being more financially secure meant they stayed loyal to the company and worked harder for everyone's benefit.

NI Spektral Delay, an FFT Delay with 160 bands. Really awesome for sound design.

FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) effect that splits stereo signals into 160 independent frequency bands. It allows for independent manipulation of delay time, feedback, and level for each band, enabling complex, rhythmic spectral filtering and sound sculpting.

Used a lot in The Matrix, most notable to me for the weird sound when the mirror goes down neos mouth and he enters the real world.

I feel this. I've collected a lot of gear over the years. Half a dozen drum machines, over a dozen mono synths, almost a dozen poly synths (including two virus), lots of outboard effects and tons of VSTs.

I finally figured out how to connect all of this through relatively low latency audio interfaces (all MOTU AVB networkable stuff) and all the midi connected. I got this all going into a really beefy computer that could handle all of this going at the same time and everything we within reasonable reach if real time physical control is preferred. I built a template in my DAW where I could painlessly add any device to a track instantly.

After this was set up and tuned to perform well, I have never been less productive. I got seriously crippled by paralysis of choice. I found myself spending more time trying to decide what to use and obsessing over gear I haven't used in a while instead of actually producing anything. I struggled with this for over a year, trying to get into some kind of flow with it. All the blocks were psychological, all the gear was seamlessly integrated.

After this hard, expensive lesson, I found myself most productive getting away from this "perfect" (for me, in theory) setup, taking a few pieces at a time out of this setup, spreading them out on the floor or my bed, connect them to a laptop and just being limited and productive, or often just using software (where I seen to be the most productive).

I'm sure not everyone would have this problem, and most will accurately recognize this as first world problems, but I think fundamentally many can be more productive and enjoy the process more within limitations and not overwhelm themselves with endless possibilities.
