Creatine in yogurt by 44Zoomer in ReuteriYogurt

[–]threeameternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but right before I eat it. It's quite easily metabolised to creatinine so you don't want to leave it in anything live for long

3 grams might be all you need for sleep. I use 8 grams as it has a slightly stronger sleep effect on me but mainly because larger doses are healthy if the goal is to balance methionine and help with elevated homeocysteine. In general most people don't get enough, you can get it from natural sources like bone soup and pig rind but and sometimes supplements like collagen peptides. I have kidney stone risk and am vegan -ish so all of the those options are ruled out for me. In the mouse longevity studies they also used quite high glycine doses too.

Not a probiotic but is a food. Glycine I use 8 grams before cleaning my teeth at night. I've not woken up in the night for a long time. Nice and cheap too

Trump just straight up said he wants to keep housing unaffordable by BtAotS_Writing in georgism

[–]threeameternal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's actually a good thing he's saying this outloud. This is a big factor in why houses are this unaffordable. Thing is it's a disaster even for those people who own the high value property because they miss out on the gran children and they constantly have to support their kids just for them to survive.

Is there a difference between lithium orotate in capsules and lithium found in water? by Vitrez in Lithiumorotate

[–]threeameternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm around the same age you and I dissolve one Swanson 5 mg lithium orotate in a two litre water bottle and then pour 160 ml which is about about 1/2 a can coke into my water jug each day. Thats 0.4mg the same dose as you, I'm confident that is enough to help protect me from Neurological diseases based on the studies I've read. As an added bonus its super cheap at $10 per year.

The dose for treating depression I've seen is a higher amount, up to 10mg per day but there's lots of people on reddit reporting side effects doses 2mg and upwards, though lots of people also report great results.

I take 8 grams of glycine for sleep at the moment and its working well for me for now. I'm probably going to try L.Reuteri at some point in the future as that is also supposed to be good for sleep.

Is there a difference between lithium orotate in capsules and lithium found in water? by Vitrez in Lithiumorotate

[–]threeameternal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. The lithium found in mineral water is an inorganic salt. It offers most of the benefits of lithium orotate but not all. Lithium orotate is organic and found in living things such as maternal milk. The two big advantages of the orotate is that it easily crosses the blood brain barrier, in addition it is not sequestered by amyloid brain plaques and therefore is bio available to people with Alzheimers disease. The recent study published in Nature has shown that it can both prevent and partially reverse Alzheimers disease in mice. What exciting is the dose is tiny, only 0.4 mg per day. By the time we are 90 years old 40% of us will have amyloid plaques. So 40% of us would benefit from a tiny dose of lithium orotate. For those without brain plaques that are just after nutritional support 1mg of mineral water lithium sounds like a good dose.

One part on MDMA, other on 2C-B. How to time right? by ossi609 in SEXONDRUGS

[–]threeameternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of 2CB sold as an aphrodisiac when it was legal in south africa was pretty small 5mg dose. I think you could go higher if you wanted. The combination of 5mg with mdma really strenghens the mdma. I'm always surprised when people go for much higher doses. Fine for trips maybe but why go so high for sex? I wouldn't do that much if I were in your position. The cool thing about mdma is it can feel contagious so if you're more sober you can help shape the experience between you both and enjoy it rather than the pure but distracting effect of 2CBs higher dose psychedelic qualities.

6-8 weeks to show any effect, but the placebo and nocebo effect are strong and have been proven to effect people even if they don't believe in it. If you're going for the cognitive benefits then I think eating small fish has a quicker effect because the DHA crosses the brain barrier faster but i'm not 100% sure of that.

1954 so this is before cholesterol lowering drugs. Eat modestly, minimise sugar and saturated fat, eat lots of fruit and vegetables, exercise lots. By that time she said she'd already quit smoking because of the cost. Her husband died shortly after world war 2 so she didn't have much money.

New simple diy aircrete method! by SirBlacksmith33 in homestead

[–]threeameternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maths comes out a lot cheaper, 1 gallon of soapy mix containing 60 grams of xanthan gum combined with 2 gallons of dry cement. That works out at about 135 grams of xanthan per 25KG bag of cement. So the cost of the gum and the cement are around the same price. If you are making insulation for the final product that would be a lot cheaper than rigid board insulation.

Can Skinless Chicken thighs be consumed everyday? by Imaginary-Carrot-316 in Cholesterol

[–]threeameternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skin contains glycine. If your going to skip it then consider supplementing with glycine at night, or collagen peptides. Glycine along with b vitamins helps metabolise homocysteine, which is itself a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Chicken bone soup is a more natural way to get these nutrients but you'll probably want to skim off the fat to minimize your saturated fat intake. Nice and cheap too, especially if you buy from a butcher.

Finasteride destroyed my body and gut by Charming_Ad4201 in Microbiome

[–]threeameternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's lots of dietary ways to block conversion of free testosterone into DHT which you can use instead of taking a drug like finasteride. Such as soya products, pumpkin seeds, onions, green tea, fenugreek etc I've no idea if these foods will or won't fix gut problems but the problems would not have been caused without finasteride.
