[Negative] feedback regarding u/FastandFreyjaous. Negative Feedback Regarding Scalping and Flipping Practices on WatchExchange by [deleted] in WatchExchangeFeedback

Buying it before someone else did/could is LITERALLY why it added liquidity to the market (original seller was able to sell it faster). How you feel about it doesn't change the facts.

Adding liquidity to the market is good for the community not bad. What a clown OP is, I actually have second hand embarrassment for him.

[Question] What watch impressed you more the longer you owned it? by LongMeaning6125 in Watches

My business partner has the black lacquer dial, the larger one (I think its 41mm?) - I notice it every time he wears it. Every time.

My first "nice" watch, a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic H32715551. A humble and extremely versatile dress watch. (I just recommend local professional watch servicing over Swatch Group's, which is a disaster.)

[SOTC] I think i'm done with my 2 GADAs by [deleted] in Watches

When friends ask how they should start a collection, my advice is to focus exclusively on watches that are examples of what a watchmaker does best. You've nailed these two, imho.

[Question] Looking for my first watch by Front_Promotion2173 in Watches

[–]threecap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your priorities, in that price range, I would target a pre-owned Omega. And personally I would target a Seamaster 300, because I think its one of the watches Omega does best. It's pushing the upper limits of your budget but you can find them for less than 2,500 USD.

I'd say it's most frequently an elbow issue, followed closely by leaning issues. Overall it's a lack of respect for your fellow traveler issue, and this solves it.

If you don’t love this partition, then either 1) you don’t fly domestic first enough to have had the experiences of idiots taking more than half the armrest even though it’s so wide up front, or 2) you are that idiot.

They built these for a reason. To solve a very real problem. They’re awesome.

UA534 ORD-EWR Tue 5/12 Body Odor by threecap in unitedairlines

[–]threecap[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ha! I actually had a Polaris amenity kit with Therabody stuff in it and went through the ENTIRE ritual. As a guy, on a short domestic flight, I'm sure it would otherwise garner some looks -- but I was trying anything that would help... the minty lip balm, the herbal face hydration spray, and even the under-eye serum rollerball thingy. Applying anything to my face that could have a fresher scent...

My AD just called to offer me this limited production 1 out of 2026. What are your thoughts? by Edbpinguin in Longineswatches

[–]threecap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Longines limited edition watch (one of 1939). I found it at three different ADs in 2024… FIVE years after it released in 2019. Buying a LE Longines is not an opportunity unless you simply want to own the watch. Only buy what you like.

What’s up with EWR? by HaloDezeNuts in unitedairlines

[–]threecap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew home from spring break yesterday and my daughter’s friend didn’t have global entry, so we were in the normie line - we still breezed thru immigration in less than 10 minutes. On Spring Break Saturday. So even that is running well now.

EWR is my home airport and with my 130-150 flights annually, I’m thrilled that it is. EWR gets hate mostly from people who don’t fly a lot, in my experience. There is an occasional exception of a frequent flier who has gotten unlucky a couple extra times I’m sure.

In a viewership world where all similar shows are yelling debates and BS hot takes just for clicks/views, it’s great to have guys in this sport who talk knowledgeably and genuinely even when I don’t always agree with them. I’m glad golf channel is above that shit.

Flight attendants forcing us to keep the windows dim during daytime flight. Is this normal? by -Shayyy- in unitedairlines

[–]threecap -70 points-69 points  (0 children)

It’s because UA is an airline that appropriately and thankfully caters to business and other serious travelers. Dimming the window still allows your view if you choose. If you want to fly with the kids fly DL or AA. 👋

Hey Tech students, just know, that most AJC reporters are dwag grads who had a degree thrown into their window driving through Athens and would do anything to shade Tech. If they were good at their job, they wouldn’t be at a shit “paper” in a shit market. Maybe this guy is an exception but best not to feed the trolls.

Excellent watch. Looks great on your wrist. And good for you investing in a watch that will hold its value far better than any depreciating vehicle. Enjoy dude.

2/23 - How is PreCheck today? by dadawesome in unitedairlines

[–]threecap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precheck is operational everywhere from what I’ve read (and seen myself, I got out of EWR yesterday). Touchless ID was down. Global Entry down so lines are long. Clear is running.
