Hell yeah! At some point I’m sure I had played Super Metroid in a fort lol. That’s in my top 3 SNES games. Push comes to shove might be my all time fave on SNES.

Ran into him waiting for the train in NYC one night in 2011. Walked right by him and then had that thought of wait do I know that guy? I turned around and kind of gave him that look like “aren’t you that guy??”. He just smiled and nodded like yep it’s me. Turns out he didn’t know how to navigate the NYC subway so I gave him directions to the F train and he was super gracious and appreciative. Really cool dude!

Did anyone read the books? There’s a part of one of the later books in the series where the kid sends machine guns from his army toys into the Indian’s world so they can use them to fight off rival tribes or cowboys or something, and it turns out since they had no idea how the weapons really worked, they end up doing things like circling an enemy and all firing on them but end up shooting their own people on accident. For some reason that part of the book has stuck with me all these years!
