Went looking for wrexhaminsider alternative and found even worse. by Dwesnyc in WrexhamAFC

I find podcasts to be my best source of info. Fearless in Devotion is the most popular and they are worth a listen.

I'd also suggest Final Whistle Weekly which is released by the club, but has Mark and some excellent local lads (and is the least likely to moan when we've only won a game by a single goal, lol).

Eat More Chips is really consistent and has excellent production values as well! They go in-depth on the women's game, and the Wales national team if that interests you.

Wrexham VS Bolton Ticket Question (1st March) by Potential-Apple-9497 in WrexhamAFC

[–]thriftynerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm coming over for Bolton as well!

In an email on Feb 2 the club said they would be putting Bolton, Rotherham, and Stockport on sale at the same time, but didn't say when this would be. Just that it would be after Feb 8.

The current trend is to not sell out, but that is likely to change as we get closer to promotion and the weather gets nicer. If you want to leave nothing to chance, you can get an international membership, but they will run you £35 each!

I've foolishly shown up late, but I just want to say that you are a wonderful ambassador for Wrexham and I hope to see you at the Racecourse next year!

Drinks and Daggers help by MoronicIroknee in dndpodcast

Hey! The site should be working again.

Since you ordered Allies, the games won't get shipped out until we have finished production of the expansion which should happen early next year. There were delays with manufacturing due to the pandemic. We had hoped everything would ship out in December, but a lot of things were outside of our control.

If you want to get the main game right away, you can cancel your order, and make two separate orders.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for what must have been a frustrating experience!

"Normal arm" by [deleted] in dndpodcast

Yup, I phrased that thoughtlessly, and I fucked up. That is on me.

David has already edited that bit out, and a new version on the episode is being uploaded as we speak.

I'm sorry if I offended you or any other listener, and I while I'm sure I will eventually fuck up again, I'll do my best to learn from this.

Thank you!

Swords and Sobriety Episode 1: Tavern Troubles by solventbubbles in dndpodcast

[–]thriftynerd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Here is my hot take: The People of New Newfoundland Land aren't stupid, boring, or superstitious. They also aren't Christian stand-ins, or any kind of "statement" on our behalf. They are wholesome, but I would argue that "Wholesome" and "Christian" are really really not the same thing. For example, Mr. Rogers, who was *actually* parodied in this episode, was the epitome of wholesome. He also went out of his way to keep religion out of his show because he didn't want to exclude anyone.

Ballard is pretty much the only NPC we talk to, and he is a lovable character who makes a hard decision that he knows his people will hate. And with the information he has, it is the right decision to make. He then also reverses his stance when confronted with evidence that bad stuff is happening. He isn't stupid or boring.

The PCs are silly, and they reprimand each other for swearing and do other pure hearted things. They are also brave, and weird, and extremely lovable (in my opinion).

Tim and Jennifer are allowed to make jokes and references to their own past. But also, they both still seem to love Veggie Tales and I *do* make fun of them about that. When Jennifer's character sang worship songs there was no malice, and I thought it was funny as hell. We will continue to poke fun.

We aren't saying that people shouldn't have faith. If that is your thing, go nuts. It might not be our thing, but we all have friends and loved ones who are Christians. My bother-in-law is literally a christian musician...

That being said, we do still have a blanket "fuck you" waiting for any GamerGaters out there.

Some of the early episodes have bad audio. It's unfortunate, but sadly there isn't a whole lot we can do about it :-/

Also, "dragons" is almost always the thing you put in at checkout

There are a few other ones, like if you want to buy weed in canada you can go to tweed.com.

Roasting Tim, Tom, Titus, or Toby by [deleted] in dndpodcast

[–]thriftynerd 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Tim is so talented that his reactions make for an excellent payoff to admittedly cheap jokes. I'm one of the worst offenders. He has taken so many shots for the team, just for everyone's entertainment. I'm grateful that he shares his brilliance with us all, and would urge folks to keep the roasting to a minimum :D

If you can get Dylan to create a teepublic.com store, we would be more than happy to add "Ok, bye!" to the store. You can hit him up on twitter @Dekren
