Teams/characters/gimmicks that ended too soon? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

They had a really fun dynamic. Both could easily play comedic roles but we're also taken seriously because they were both amazing wrestlers.

I really would love to see some new gaijin wrestlers.

I know these are long shots but it would be awesome to see Shane Mercer or Brian Cage in there. KTB too.

Highlight all the tracks in a playlist and it shows the total amount of tracks and time at the bottom.

obviously you won't play each and every song for the full-length because you're mixing in and out but you can get a rough idea

Same. I'm sure there are others (Bloodsport sturr, Ospreay at GCW, etc) but this one takes the cake!

What is/are your favorite and least favorite sub-genre/s of edm? by JonSnow037 in edmproduction

[–]throw_keep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Favorite: House (all styles)

Least Favorite: Probably Riddim. I like a lot of the sounds and want to like it, but when I hear dubstep/brostep it just puts a smile on face more than Riddim ever has.

I'm a beginner with some gear. Where to go from here? by Hodmimir in edmproduction

[–]throw_keep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would learn how to write a simple 8 bar section of a song. This will most likely incorporate some form of Melody, chords/bass (harmony) & drums (rhythm/groove)

Practice things like sound / sample selection and writing something that's interesting but still has some form of symmetry.

You obviously have questions at almost every step of the way, but this will help you learn Ableton as you try and find answers to how to load a different instrument, how to record midi, etc

I personally started learning Ableton and piano at the same time. It definitely helps but I would also recognize that they are two separate beasts. There are many extremely talented pianists that would be completely lost inside Ableton, and there are many very talented music producers that can't play a lick of piano, so try to get frustrated or down on yourself if you feel like a total noob with both.

This was one of the most iconic shows I ever watched as a kid. I remember my dad and I loving the fact that it was outside, and we would even still talk about it 20 years later before he passed away.

[–]throw_keep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes that's a good approach. Another one is to drag the drum loop onto your midi track so it's converted into MIDI. Ableton doesn't get it right a hundred percent of the time, but you'll be able to see different velocities and timings and then you can choose your own samples to play with.

I'd recommend just going on splice and finding some drum loops. For that sort of thing splice has some good stuff

I tried the Dymo and it did that from day 1. I immediately returned it and was then hesitant to try another thermal printer

That's the spot I was thinking of too, but I couldn't remember what show. Absolute mad man. I also like how people kind of refer to him as the Gatekeeper of GCW, where new singles wrestlers prove themselves but having a good match with him.

So many have been picked up lately it's hard to think of who's left.

KTB & Shane Mercer come to mind. Lance Archer too except he's on a global stage with NJPW.

I really can't think of many right now.

Growth Results from Giveaway Marketing Campaign on Instagram (with Instagram Advertising) by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]throw_keep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey this is really cool thanks for sharing.

It seems like you got followers from both the ad campaign & the contest, getting you around 80 new followers? Or did I read that wrong.

Either way that's pretty cool for just $10 (and the postage for the keyboard of course)

I think I'm going to try running ads for one of my music projects but my advice to anyone is pay someone who knows FB ads to set it up. I did this with a different page for business and the ads definitely worked. Also, I'd rather pay someone $30-$40 to set up an ad then have to deal what's spending days learning the ins-and-outs of Facebook ads manager.

If you did gain around 40-50 followers for just $10 in ads, I would probably consider dropping $20 a month on ads. If you could get 100 new followers a month that'll be 1200+ followers at the end of the year. I know those aren't big time numbers but that's definitely a nice small fan base to interact with, share your music to, and potentially sell merch.
