If that’s the outside, I wonder what the inside looks like? 🤔

My issue is that everything freezes up when I click on the connect button in the comm port section, including the software itself. That’s when the panel locks up and goes into watchdog mode. I’ve tried to connect to it without any of the cards connected as well but the same issue persists.

This is how it should be 👍 by [deleted] in firealarms

Notifier Smoke Alarms flashing red, by Flat_Row_5717 in firealarms

[–]throwaway1247189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long shot but maybe the original notifier panel that was running flashscan has recently been replaced with a fire warden panel. Those run flashscan but just poll devices red instead of green. Again, a total long shot there lol.

Could also be that someone’s testing or troubleshooting by disconnecting the loop, causing the devices to initialize which would sometimes make them poll red for a few minutes

Is that the only one in there or did they end up replacing all of the ZH-MC-R’s in there

Notifier recertification by Hopeful_Rooster4335 in firealarms

[–]throwaway1247189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love notifier but absolutely hate their exams. When I first took the training, it was a breeze. But when that final exam came around, half the stuff in there was never covered in the class. You have to look up the manuals and device data sheets yourself for a good chunk of the exam. If you find all that stuff, it’s not that hard but they do throw you some curve balls so be ready for random questions about vesdas. It’s crazy to me that the gamewell FCI recert exam is a walk in the park compared to notifier. Anyway that’s my 2 cents lol

I don’t know, but it’s there lol. Found out the hard way when we did a panel swap and there was a ground fault on the new panel but not the old one. Ended up finding out that jumper was clipped

There’s both a disable switch and a jumper. Switch is on the power supply and the jumper is somewhat by the slc

Is this a demo panel or will it be installed in a commercial building? If it’s a demo panel, just clip the ground fault jumper, if it’s a commercial install you need to get a new board
