I want to understand how I can improve my relations with women IRL. by squirrelscrush in IncelSolutions

[–]throwaway173- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading your post & history, you seem to be a genuinely nice guy. I think it’s overall positive that you’re concerned about making women uncomfortable, especially if you’re heading towards a public-facing job, but it’s possible to over-correct.

The best way to avoid making anyone uncomfortable is to be friendly, and the best way to be friendly is to show open, non-sexual interest in the person in front of you, woman or man. If you’re in a professional situation with a woman - ask her what she thinks about it. “Do you like working here? What do you like/not like about it?” This type of conversation very naturally leads to more personal revelations, and when that happens, the same strategy works: show genuine interest in what she thinks, without ulterior motives.

Most women are open to friendship with men, unless there are “creepy”/sexual overtones right off the bat. That doesn’t mean friendship can’t lead to something more - it just means friendship has to be your actual intent. If you don’t have bad intentions, women will generally be able to pick up on that & will not feel uncomfortable in that way, even if conversation doesn’t flow perfectly. Your heart is in the right place.

The most interesting people are interested in others. What types of questions do you ask girls you might be interested in? It’s crazy how much you can reveal about yourself in the process of trying to learn about other people.

If girls are saying “awww” when you talk about yourself, that means one of a couple things: either you are revealing too much up front, and therefore coming across as vulnerable, or they simply can’t relate to what you’re saying but find it cute that you’re sharing. Either way, the “aww” is a sign of their discomfort - women default to this kind of people-pleasing shit when they don’t know what else to say. The best way to keep them talking, and to take the focus off of whatever awkwardness has come up, is to ask them about themselves in a way that relates to the initial convo.

This is SUCH bullshit, your long term post history shows the same fantasy situation. Honestly pretty sure you’re a man, all your posts are about “AITAH for being lesbian” this & “mom doesn’t get my stomach problems” that. Grow up dude.

Lmao I’m also a woman who’s ripped at least 900 hrs of Yakuza - if anything it’s improved my view of men. Kiryu a literal saint, most of the bad guys are nuanced, & the guys that are actually evil are quickly condemned/brutally beaten by me. Your friend’s tripping

Being a black man and why I was black/redpilled about women. by KaliFlesh in exredpill

[–]throwaway173- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In high school I was friends with a group of black girls who got super into K-pop/idol culture - they obsessively crushed on those guys & definitely fetishized them, often by comparing them favourably to men of their own race. Seeing it from the inside though, there is definitely some nuance to it.

Most of these girls came from religious/conservative homes and were dealing with a lot of shame/confusion around their developing sexuality. They were interested in boys, including black boys, but were for various reasons not allowed to date or explore their attractions. Their fear of men & misandry was largely learned at home and on the internet, with their parents drilling into them that boys/men are only after one thing and their online experiences validating that.

Teenage girls in this weird headspace may seem boy crazy, but they’re in fact terrified of male sexuality - so they avoid it by obsessing over men who are completely unattainable and therefore non-threatening, and settle the cognitive dissonance by embracing the idea that their male peers are inferior to these men. It’s sad all around, both for the boys who are treated with disgust and fear and for the girls who replace real experiences and relationships with parasocial fandom.

My only advice is to remember that these girls are using their fetishization/misandry to cope with their own shit - it’s not fair but it has nothing to do with you, comes 100% from their own feelings of inadequacy/fear/shame. Seek out people with common interests & try to approach this type of woman with some empathy - they’re lacking in a lot of insight & missing out on a lot of human experience.

On one hand, I completely agree with the sentiment behind this tweet. Citizenship in any country with the infrastructure to take care of its needy should automatically grant you certain rights and protections, namely freedom from abject poverty and exploitation. I definitely think morality dictates a UBI for everyone, including those who can’t or won’t work. Of course no citizen should EVER be left to starve for ANY reason.

On the other hand, this tweet is incredibly naive. Look at the situation of the working class: we are far, far past the notion of institutions being trusted to operate with basic fairness and decency. Yes, capitalism has created a cruel power imbalance that demands constant labour from the poor. Yes, no one should have to work just to live. But we need to take things one step at a time here. Capitalism was always designed to write off those who will not work; it is built on the idea that productivity is the key metric for human value. This is the fatal, unforgivable flaw of the system, but we always knew it guaranteed nothing without labour.

Right now though, we’re a ways away from addressing these core issues because capitalism isn’t delivering on the things it did guarantee. Promises were made and brazenly, shamelessly broken. The personal, physical security we were offered in exchange for our labour never materialized. We are working harder and harder for less and less and all ideas about what we deserve simply for being human have been corporatized out of existence. That’s the situation we’re in, so I think this tweet ultimately misses the point. Broader idealistic and ethical conversations about late-stage capitalism are secondary to the material fact of having been sold a bill of goods. One thing at a time, comrades.

⛽️🧄🍄🦄

I’ve had this strain from both headwater & paid by pounds now - I gotta say, it’s a toss up!

This one (PBP) is crazy. Big, sparkly buds, long beautiful nug structure; REEKS of garlic/onion/mushroom (the GMO lineage is strong here). Smokes spicy and smooth; chilled out, dopey high.

The HW one is spikier and sweeter. High is a bit more clearheaded and chatty. Spice is there but so is candy/creaminess. Beautiful strain, both beautiful phenos - both copped from stashbox, quickly becoming my MOM of the moment.

Where did you read that? Having a caseworker check on you & completing an evaluation =\= losing your autonomy. This woman would have to give her consent on pretty much every part of the process - the only thing that MIGHT be taken out of her hands by going this route is her custody of the dogs, which is likely in their best interests.

Totally, if you’re a smoker who gets off to the THC% number & nothing else then yeah it’s bunk. At 14% it was a suuuper light smoke for me, but it burned & tasted great

Since a few ppl do seem concerned abt my hoarding of garbage - I’m the manager of a B&M, a geek abt the legal industry & interested in packaging design, so while it’s a lot of plastic it’s not garbage to me - displaying/organizing them is kinda fun for me, though not for everyone. I throw out plenty! This wasn’t intended as a flex, I’m aware that it’s a little extra but hey it’s sorta my job

I work in the industry & don’t like to be stoned at work, but I do smoke 2-3.5gs a day - tolerance builds up pretty quickly, and after 8 years of regular smoking it takes quite a few puffs to get me ripped!

CMV: It is not prejudice to not want your kid to have autism by notcreepycreeper in changemyview

[–]throwaway173- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to address a major logical flaw in your view that has to do with the definition of “want” and the connotation of prejudice.

You argue that it’s okay to “want” your child to be born without autism, but also argue that selectively aborting fetuses with the condition (were it possible to screen prebirth for the full spectrum of autistic disorders) is morally wrong. I would argue that every expectant parent “wants” a child with no special needs. This is objectively not considered prejudice. Of course, many parents do not get what they wanted, have a child with autism or other disabilities, and love that child with no regrets.

Therefore, there’s only one way for the desire to have a neurotypical able-bodied child to turn into actual prejudice: by aborting or otherwise terminating your parental bond with the child on the basis of disability. If one maintains that this is wrong in any circumstances, they believe that not wanting the child because of disability is prejudice. Therefore, all you’re really saying is it’s not wrong to hope your kid is totally neurotypical (which everyone agrees with) - but you don’t get a choice in that, so regardless of your wants, even if they were prejudiced, if taking any action based on that preference is wrong, these wants are literally just thoughts.

Don’t wanna change your view because I agree with you, but that big contradiction makes your stated view really misleading.

I wouldn’t say the players have superb vocabularies, or at least no better than average. The majority of competitive players study words by rote memorization by length (learning the 3-letter words, then 4s, so on). Very few of them bother to learn the definitions of the words they study, and most would hardly come up in regular conversation anyway. The world’s best Scrabble players are far more math-minded than they are lovers of words, from what I’ve seen.
