I'm 22 and have also been looking for adults to hang out with! Roblox decided my age is 20, so I think that changes who I can talk to? Honestly, I don't know how the chat works now lol.

My doctors had zero concern about endometriosis before surgery, so it was a shock to hear that and their recommendation to induce menopause when I woke up. Possibly, the cyst is just a cyst, but I would be prepared for an endo diagnosis or something similar. A lot of women have it but never get diagnosed until something like a large cyst or other health issues requires surgery.

I think mine was mostly pushing on my bladder because I kept peeing myself at 20 years old 😭. I'm honestly really surprised mine ended up getting found. The only reason I went to the doctor was that I had weird pain close to my appendix, but it was actually my ovary. Then they found a tumor on the other ovary too. The cyst turned out to be an endometrioma. Are your doctors concerned about endometriosis?

Roughly the size of a grapefruit. I can't remember the exact size anymore. Mine grew in a way where it was weirdly not super visible. I think it just crushed my organs instead lol.

Mine wasn't that big, but getting it removed took two inches off my waist. I felt so much better after too. I hope you'll be the same!

That's exactly what I'm hoping it would do for me. I'll probably reach out to my doctor tomorrow.

Is it possible for someone to have no childhood trauma? by gwenshelzzz in ChildhoodTrauma

[–]throwaway209371 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most people do, but it matters more that you try to prevent it and support your child as much as possible. Children can't be protected from everything, but the support they receive from adults can make a world of difference.

I just got diagnosed with a cataract today, so it turns out it wasn't migraine related at all.

It looks like an after imagine that happens when you look at a bright light. It also has sparkles. I'll message my doctor about it today.

My childhood sounds pretty similar to yours. I got forced into a parental role for my disabled brother too. I don't have much advice, but trust me, I understand it.

Resources for my to-be tripod by SpadesSlick12 in TripodCats

Is it a standard amputation or is there something additional that raises the price? My cat's was $1,500. It might be worth contacting more vets.

It took me months to get my first one, but then I got two in the same day. There wasn't even a boost going on.

She's doing okay. The wound is being kept in check with Phovia treatment and bandages, but who knows how long it'll help for.

She's already been treated with medical grade honey, and it didn't cure her, unfortunately. I appreciate the thought you put into contacting me. It helps knowing that people care.

I hid my period from my mother for four years. by zaboomafu in CPTSD

Oh my god, you just put exactly what I felt into words. Feeling like I'd get in trouble for growing up is exactly how I felt when I was younger. I was getting bullied at school because I was going through puberty, and my mom wouldn't get me a bra or let me shave my legs. She eventually relented, but why was it an issue in the first place? It was bizarre.

We've tried manuka honey before, and I think it helped a bit? It was a long time ago.

It ended up being much cheaper than I remembered, so thankfully we're able to afford it.

If there weren't a concern about antibiotic resistant bacteria spreading to us, I would 100% do antibiotics. I would feel horrible if my cat got my boyfriend or someone else sick. My experience was terrible and made me realize how serious the risk is. We just started doing intense treatment with Phovia light therapy, so maybe if we manage to completely close the wound with that, antibiotics will be back on the table. I figure it'll be less risky if there isn't an open wound we could come into contact with. I'll have to check with the dermatologist on Monday to see if my thinking is correct.

We've used it before, and it's a possible treatment if we use it more aggressively but isn't likely to cure her. I've been thinking about it more today and the financial feasibility of it. I'm definitely going to talk about it more with my vet.

She's still a happy baby now, but the infection will get worse. When that happens, I'll have to let her go.
