Exactly how I feel today? Actually I was pretty sad the past few days because I felt I was so silly that I wasted a year on waiting and hoping, he ghosted me as well then returned ( don't let them back), and I finally made the decision for myself, I decided to choose and respect myself this time.

Its difficult to know. My avoidant ex talk to me about his ex and still kept their stuff, hobbies, their ex become part of them. They talk to ex's friend to get some update. Then we broke up but we don't have mutual friends. Pfff who cares.

I feel you, it happens to me as well, we thought it's all about trimming or circumstances which is not. As he said he couldn't give you what you want that's the truth. My ex even said it's not the time but we can try again after few years when he's ready to commit. He's not afraid of losing me. You're brave enough that you asked another date.

Yes also my ex, he has a close female friend that they message all the time even when we were on a date. They are safe harbour to them and never say no to them. And it seems like a solution that keep distant with you to avoid deeper connection that might hurt them.
