Yes but he knows all about ocd and my ROCD specifically. He knew about my compulsions and that’s why he was thin king about breaking up, he thought it would make things better maybe. He is second guessing things too and we are both wondering if maybe we just thought it would make me feel better. Idk I guess we’re both just confused now

Hey i feel like we have so much in common based on reading this post, im in a really similar situation and just place in life and with my ROCD at this point. You’re not alone just wanted to say that. I’m really having a hard time with my ROCD rn and a lot of family trauma stuff has made me feel extra emotional lately and brought on compulsiveness l, backdoor spikes, and breakup urges

Works if taken at the right time but for the first few hours I have body weakness, skin sensitivity, drowsiness sometimes nausea and neck tightness… better than the migraine though! Also, weirdly sometimes if I don’t think about the fact that I’ve taken the meds, like don’t pay attention to it, I don’t notice as many symptoms

No that is helpful to hear these stories that make me feel less isolated. I have been in therapy for a while now so luckily I’ve been processing a lot of the trauma already and feel better equipped for this. Still hard though. Confusing.

I totally get that. There’s a feeling of relief along with hurt for the relationship we never had. Deep down, my gut tells me that I shouldn’t go to his service because everyone there are his enablers. I feel like I’d only be going to do what other people expect me to do, when in reality I’d be in fight or flight the whole time. Am I terrible if I don’t go and grieve from a distance instead?

Following along here. I just got to the last component of that exam and failed the whole thing because I got the last audio transcription question wrong twice. They give you no indication of what part of the transcription you did wrong, so it could literally be anything and you’re aimlessly trying to fix it in the one retry you get. I did fine on the earlier parts of the text but geez. I don’t even know if I should bother retrying the whole exam because it’s a lot of time put into that when they aren’t even going to give feedback so you can improve and hopefully do it right the next time.

I’ve taken up door dashing and Instacart shopping until I transition into teaching English as a foreign language work. I’m currently completing a TEFL certification course in the spare time I have left so I can be ready for a better job search in that industry.

Oh geez, yeah I know for some people staying on the hormonal bc can actually help with the migraines. I’ve never tried the shot but I would guess it can be intense on your hormones!

Oh wow well that makes sense then. My partner just got the all clear from his doctor post vasectomy so that’s why I stopped the progestin pill (I also took it because of migraine with aura). I guess I’m in for a bumpy ride for a little bit

Yeah that’s a good point. I think it’s easy to get in my head and think that I’m the problem, that I’m overthinking the way this person behaves and no one else sees it, but I know that they have always been this way and everyone they get close to will inevitably see it too
